For anyone here who wants to trade their white 3g for a blackone, email me at spamdumpster@gmail.com. $299 + $175 termination fee equals = $574. Perhaps we can work something out.

I'm not sure if I just don't understand your post, but I think if someone wanted to exchange their white one for a black or vice versa, they would just go to their apple store and do it for free............

I was able to swap my white for a black today for free at Apple after being told I would have to pay a restocking fee at another apple store on 14th.

I'm a happy camper:D

Do I just go the Apple Store (that's where I purchased it) to exchange it? Do I need to give them everything back (original box, usb, charger)? Also, my iphone has a screen protector. Will they still take it?

From my experience you need to bring everything back to the store.
Remove the screen protector.
I was still within the fourteen days or something. Genius would only allow to exchange colors before the fourteen days. After the fourteen days he said he would only exchange for the same color.
However, I was able to exchange colors since my phone had a rattling noise when it vibrated.

If you purchased the phone at the subsidized price by opening a new AT&T account you wouldn't be able to make a simple exchange. When exchanging you're effectively canceling your contract for returning the white and you'd have to open a new account to purchase the black, losing your number.

If you upgraded a line from an existing account there should be no problem exchanging. Before 14 days there is no restocking fee. As long as there are phones available you just wait in line if necessary with the rest of the buyers and you're good.

still back and forth between the white and black...the longer I have my black one, the better I feel that I decided not to go with white
