:( first she makes me crazy, now she silences my first thread in over a year and a half.

Why must you torment me, apple-girl? Haven't you caused enough pain!? :(:(

Welcome back. I joined in this forum like 9 months ago, so you were still halfway through your job back then. I would be almost scared when a company tells me the consequenses of revealing secrets. I bet you were at least a little bit nervous...

Try resetting her permissions.

Don't fall for it! It doesn't work! ;) :D

....from MY experiences...they are very selfish creatures...keep your head up and be tough... the right one is out there..just whatever you do DO NOT flash back....:( or think asbout her its hurts

Also, I've been wanting to get a job at my local Apple Store, can you give any tips that could help me out? What they are looking for etc? Anything that could prepare me or give me an edge. :)

Dunno how I missed that. Must have been the pain of beautiful memories past...

It's cool if you can sell stuff, and it really helps to know macs.. but you really don't need either. People who don't know OSX go work at cashwrap (assuming your store has/will have one ;) ). You're here, so I assume you know something.

The biggest, best thing you can do is prove that you know how to dumb stuff down. Figure out how you would explain the advantages of a gig of ram over 512mb to an old lady. Figure out how to differentiate harddrive size and ram, figure out how to explain wireless internet, and how it usually doesn't have anything to do with cell phones. You must be able to dumb everything down, and have a million analogies for hardware and software questions, ready to go at a moment's notice.

Here's an example that I came up with for DVD studio pro clinics. Different video and audio tracks on a DVD are like different lanes on a highway. You're still getting to the same place, you're just doing it slightly differently.

There's lots of car analogies.

Methinks she only loved him for his Apple Store employee discount...
If I read the earlier post correctly, she was also an Apple employee. :p

:edit: Dang it. That's what I get for reading MR on multiple tabs.

On my first day, my manager warned me to take down my blogs, and delete my accounts from message boards.... espcially mac boards. He told me horror stories of people being hauled out of the store in handcuffs for giving away info.
I didn't have to, he just recommended it. I just deleted anything that had to do with my application at apple.
Please clarify. Which of the following are prohibited by your employment contract, which are permitted but not recommended, and which are acceptable?
  1. Having accounts on Mac boards, even if you don't visit the site.
  2. Reading posts on Mac boards.
  3. Posting on Mac boards about Apple-employment topics. (We know this is prohibited.)
  4. Posting on Mac boards about inside information. (We know this is prohibited.)
  5. Posting on Mac boards about other Apple topics, like explaining to someone how to import photos, or other public knowledge.
  6. Posting on Mac boards about non-Apple topics, like what kind of car you have.
  7. Posting on computer boards that aren't about Macs, such as a PC site or an AutoCAD site.
  8. Posting on non-computer boards, like a site for NBA fans.

Three questions

WHAT is your name?

WHAT is your quest?

WHAT is your favorite color?

Oh, hell, a forth, and this one is on-topic.
What was the process like to apply for the job?
