I would have preferred full price, fair plans, and a dock.

honestly I dont get why people love docks... when i bought my first iPod and got my second one that didnt include a dock, I was surprised but then I just shrugged it off...

I cant remember once when I actually used the dock....



On another note though I am just pissed the new charger is so dumb ugly! I liked the 'old' one. It has more of a design to it

I think think the docks are classy, but thats only if you ask me. I too am disappointed about the increased cost of ownership. But ill by one none the less. hurmpff

Well they are just moving it over to a set of plans that are common to smartphones and taking power away from Apple in the pricing area and giving it to AT&T. It's a shame to people who can't use the 3G or are used to having the cheaper original iPhone plans. I'm sure there are still millions of people who will buy this thing (myself included) despite that. As far as the dock its pretty lame that it doesn't come with one (I use mine a lot on my desk). However I'm sure no one really cares about that too much.

wow...I use my dock ALL the time. it's much more classy and organized. and I don't like putting my naked iPhone on surfaces due to risk of scratches, etc.

now that I think about it...the iPhone will cost me even more than the $40 bucks that others have calculated.

we forgot about the dock as well! that's going to add another $50 bucks to my iPhone + service costs.
