Well that is kind of dumb. I figured Apple just wouldn't push ads to apps on the app store until it went live. Oh well, it only matters during the 1 week limbo period before iAd actually launches.

Cool, Apple worked on Ads but couldn't be bothered to fix their idiotic notification system or add custom alert sounds to SMS. Good job, Apple.

I don't mind iAds but all this built up hype from Apple just from advertising, I also would rather have better alerts and much better notifications, I can't wait to be able to reply to a text message in a little text box as it comes in without having to go to the messaging app and leave the app I'm currently in.

HURRAY for HTML5 ads all over the place.. next up the web will be littered with native HTML5 ads all over the place... and its so easy to make the ads even your grandma can do it!
Adds will continue to be delivered in a cross-browser compatible medium—and that's not HTML 5, which requires a modern browser. It will please you to find that your favorite advertisements will be delivered in Adobe Flash for some time to come.

yeah apple needs a better way of managing notifications... and didnt a designer from web os recentally come back to apple?
Likely he will come up with a solution for it. The only question is when.

How are you going to block ads inside apps? These are not website ads.

AdMob ads are inside apps, and there is stuff available through cydia that can block them. I'm sure there will be lots of ways to spoof iAd containing apps into not displaying the ads.

I understand, download OneTap Movies

Sounds ridiculous but I'm tempted to download one of these apps just to try out the iAds. Downloading an app to see the ads.:eek:

I must be crazy but I'm gonna try it out now :D

The app on picture is OneTap Movies from Avantar. I have it an it is the coolest and most useful app you can find. I have it in my first screen.
The place holder is now gone, but I am sure I will be able to see one of th first badest iAds.

I read that the Yellow Pages app was the first to be approved with iAds

Of course...they are in good with Apple and all...Would be fun the see the first ads roll on the 1st of July
