The orange one is making me nervous being so close to falling off that desk....

Nice! Just for info, how long did it take you to put that Clamshell colour collection together? Also in which country(s)?

By the way, in the near or distant future you will regret selling. Guaranteed! Especially the Key Lime.
The only way I'd sell my complete Clamshell colour collection (although can't see that happening), is if I had duplicates of all - which I'm not far off. My experience shows the Orange Clamshell is becoming more difficult to find in really good condition. As for the KeyLime - I'm sure you know yourself.

It took me around a month and a half to get them all. They all came from the USA except the graphite one came from Canada. Also, in my house I have two green ones, two blueberry ones, and two graphite ones.
I’d know Love to see a picture of your collection as well!

A month and a half? That's amazing. It took me over 3 years to amass a complete Clamshell colour collection in Europe. And that wasn't for the want of searching.

Maybe, but not in the case of my Clamshells. Some purchased from Goodwill stores, or from local ads very cheaply as not functional, and then completely refurbished by myself. Great satisfaction from saving & resurrecting these from the dead. Ditto for G4 iMacs, saved from the dumpster.

Oh yeah, when spread over a few years, it’s possible to find good deals at a low(er) price. My remark was directed at the ability to acquire all five in the pics, as shown, in the span of just six weeks (along with three others they mentioned which weren’t pictured).

Like you, I love restoring clamshells. :)

Oh my gosh I am in awe!! I always thought those were just the cutest little laptops! Too bad we came into the Apple game just a little too late; all my kids had the plain ole' white iBooks when we were home schooling.

My first Apple computer was an eMac, and, though that sucker weighed a ton, I remember thinking how awesome it was that everything was included in that "monitor" versus having a Windows computer with a huge tower.

eBay has been the only source for mine.

On another note, I do have every style of iMac in my collection as well. And almost every iPhone in its box except for the really recent models.

Yes. I as well have gotten all mine off of eBay. I can see how it would take so long to get them all locally. Myself, I’ve never seen any at goodwill and hardly many on Craigslist. I’d say on eBay two or three post a week.

I well remember that holiday evening in Istanbul suffering from diarrhea, pouring rain dropping through the roof of our residence, my family off for dinner w/o me when I happend to get that immaculate Lime-Clamshell through 'local' (= in my country) craiglist-like offers ... no regrets about how I spent that evening!
It's like the Clamshell chooses it's owner ...
Be patient - time will come!

Luckily more effort to sell than to keep them ...

I had two limes. Sold one and am selling the second now. I love them and want to keep them but my primary goal is to repair, not collect. (At least for iBooks...)

I'd love to think that some true Apple lover/enthusiast would purchase this and keep it near-mint. Otherwise the chances are it will be purchased by a certain Bay seller and turned into a polka-dot monstrosity at a highly inflated price.

It probably doesn’t help that that scammer is in Miami, and the auction is only open to people in the U.S.

With an impossible-to-understand hardly english description...
