If I would be lucky. Basically, instead of searching on eBay, I prefer posting an ad, and everyone who wants to sell an PBG4 will send me a message. How about 50$ for an 12" and 60$ for an 15"? Is that good prices?

No way you get it for that kind of money, more like $120-150 or more.

Is that canadian $ ?? That would be only 37/45Euro

For that kind of money I wouldn't expect anything but older models who had beaten most of their lives out of them :p

How about 60$ for a 12", 70$ for a 15" and 80$ for an 15" 1.67GHz?

I brought my iMac G4 1.25GHz USB 2.0 17" for 90$.

Friend, come back to earth. You're not getting anything but a abused shell with bad parts for those amounts. 100-200 USD is more reasonable. Thats with US prices, which are quite a bit lower than anywhere else. Here in Sweden, 220-280 USD is the norm.

FAKE: Leopard requires 867MHZ G4.

Jesus Christ on a bicycle. "Requires" and being "usable" is two completely different things. Try Leopard on a 867mhz G4, and not a DP. Use it for a week, I dare you.

I have the latest iMac 1.25GHZ 17" with USB 2.0. It currently have 512 MB of RAM, but since Tiger is slow with that, I think upgrading to 1.5 GB will make my computer faster, even with Leopard.

It will make it faster, very much so in fact. 512mb might've been ok in 2005, but not today.

OK, but if I can buy an great iMac for only 90$, then why couldn't I buy an great Powerbook for 80$? Or, 100$ for an 15" Powerbook, if you prefer.

It can happen, but it takes a lot of patience and waiting for someone that doesn't know the current resell value of it to sell one.

For example:

I bought a white MacBook Core 2 Duo late last year for $150 and it was in great condition, so just keep your eyes open.

My dad bought his 15" non-high res 1.67GHz 15" PB for $123 total which included having to get a new battery. It has a ding on the palm rest and a couple of spots on the screen.

I bought my 15" hi-res 1.67GHz for $150 by doing a Best Offer deal with the seller on eBay, and at the time they had plenty more. At this time they do not, but mine is absolutely flawless and it was a great deal.

Excactly, I had to wait a long time before getting my iMac G4. Plus, the PSU was dead, so I spend 30$ to buy a new one.

If you looking for something good for your price and all you care about is the mac os then why not buy a intel based netbook and I could help you get snow leopard on it.

but if you actually care about the "mac" experience then I would just suggest saving your money until you can afford a hi-res powerbook with max ram and an an ssd. or if you don't need to be portable how about a nice g5 quad for your heavy rendering

Since my "normal" PC is dead, I am going to save for an iMac 21.5 inch. But I need a cheap Mac laptop so I could write whatever where I am. So a Powerbook is just right for me.
