I've used iCal a few days ago and it worked fine. I just opened it to add some more items, and it says you can't modify a Read-Only calendar. How do I fix this?

Make sure you have your "Home" (or other calendar you created) selected, rather than a special event one, like "US Holidays".

There should be a list labeled "Calendars" on the side of your calendar window.

Hope this helps.

Oh man, I feel silly now. That was the problem! I didn't realize that all of the groups I created (US Holidays being one of them) were technically different Calendars!

Hello!

I'm European and I get confused by iCal when I see the dates by m/d/yy instead of d/m/yy.

is there a way to change it? thanks in advance?

system preferences -> international -> formats.

customize to your personal taste! i'm pretty sure that will work.
