It should be very durable. I was very impressed as to how thick the material was after I peeled it off the backing. It's not some thin piece of plastic. I would have to estimate it at being at least 3 or 4 mil thick. 3M Sctochprint Personalized Vehicle Graphics. Although it wasnt too thick to keep the iPad from fitting in the Targus Vuscape case I have.

When I first got out out of the mailing envelope I hated the way it looked. I almost did not want to install it. But I did and when it was on it looked completely different. It is not bad but I may go for a wood one later on. I can also confirm it is the same material that was on my Laptop. It will be able to be abused and never scratch.
Some reason my camera does not like to focus on it so I only ended up with these two pictures.
I did not put the smart cover pieces on. I am still debating whether or not to do so.

White iCarbons skin
Just got my white skin today. This is the first skin I've used and it was pretty easy to install. Took me a couple tries for a couple corners but it end up going on well. I'd upload a pic but don't know how to on my iPad.

I have a black iPad with a light grey polyurethane cover that has black carbon fiber strips on there.
I dunno how it'd look having black iPad with light grey/black cf smart cover with another black side (black carbon fiber back) or how it'd look with a completely white back side.

the pic was on a black ipad2...
I never install CF or anything on the front...looks cheesy....my current pad is white and I think will pop a bit with the rest of the back and smartcover in black...

I buy both from stick and icarbons, and had good luck with both....I don't like the white on black......too garish.......
I buy exclusively from sticker boy. They have a better selection of skins. I've been getting skins now since I bought my iPad 2 a year ago and for the past year I've noticed that icarbons is always playing catch up with sticker boy. They have the same templates but sticker boy had them first. One year ago icarbons templates were VERY different from what they are today... until they copied sticker boy. Also, one year ago icarbons ONLY sold carbon textured skins. Now they also copied designs from sticker boy.
I know my local Ghost Armor has a black carbon available for the iPad3, but I didn't ask them who they were from..if they even knew.
It looked real snazzy on my iPad, but it was thick enough that it kept my logitech fold up case from being able to grab onto it.
Had to replace my ipad for a jammed in volume up button, and decided to have them go with the traditional clear backing so I can use my keyboard case.
Trouble is, the clear just looks so vanilla after having the carbon on the back!
Love Ghost Armor, swear by them.
to each his own...icarbons is in fla so I get them the next day or so...I only buy strips and CF backs so I don't care about the "selection" - but the few I've bought from boy were also nice. Hard to argue about who cuts a piece of Di-noc better....
It's a SwitchEsay NUDE for the iPad 2 on my 3rd Gen iPad. Yes it dose fit the new iPad even with the iCarbon skin.
Do you guys find the new iPad /w icarbons (mine is black carbon) gets warmer faster than no cover?
I barely notice mine getting warm at all. Maybe a tiny bit on the lower left when held in portrait. Most of the time it is in a Targus Vuescape to protect it from the kids so I really dont think heat will be an issue.

There must be a daily limit on that code because I tried that a day ago and it said it had reached the number of uses.
Anyone have good corner tips? Low heat of course but like start in the middle, sides, or all at once?
