I'm very disappointed that the Status page is still not updated... it should update automatically in the event of an outage, at least with an "Investigating" status until they post an official report.

Did iCloud get hacked? Did I miss that?

Unless of course you mean the celeb thing recently where people used rubbishy simple passwords that got guessed which could happen on any system......

I not sure that was the entire story and there was a security hole that was exploited, but either way I hope this is just a small outage.

I didn't notice mail issues, but streaming iTunes radio and my iTunes Match music was spotty this morning. No reason for it.

No, we're talking about the celeb thing recently where people used rubbishy simple passwords that got guessed correctly due to simple brute force methods, which was made possible because Apple's Find My iPhone service did not limit the number of failed login attempts, something that most login pages do.

smh there seems to be a problem with their internet services every other week

If it only happens once every 2 weeks, that's pretty good. Probably one of the better cloud service out there.

Google had a 43 minute outage back in March.

And a worse one back in February - 2 hours and 40 minutes

They all have outages. Apple's just get reported more.

This have anything to do why I couldn't stream ANY Apple TV purchased content yesterday? Tried at lunch and last night - ended up watching Netflix on Apple TV instead.

It's dead horse beating as usual with you but here goes...

The outage you're referring to from Google is for their Compute Engine platform, that's kind of vital there. Not that it excuses them from that failure, but it's their core services that rarely goes down. When iCloud goes down, quite a number of their core capabilities goes down with it, and that's the significance here.

It goes down just like the others. It was down for over 2 days last January.

Difference being frequency and type of service, that is key. iCloud going down once every 2 weeks doesn't exactly constitute the "best" (nice back-editing the hyperbole there) service out there.

Thank heavens I don't rely on iCloud for any business critical applications.

PS I like the new look MacRumors.
Yeah, it doesn't always work right even when it's up. I'm never backing up to iCloud instead of my computer again after what happened the last two times.

P.S. Oh shoot, the new MR doesn't group posts together. That's like how it was a long time ago.

Google's CORE SERVICES were just down back in February for over 2 hours.

But, go ahead, keep up your meme of Apple always being worse.

Google Compute Engine (GCE), the infrastructure-as-a-service component of Google’s global cloud platform, suffered a two-hour outage this morning. - See more at: http://www.information-age.com/tech...s-two-hour-global-outage#sthash.T1bnrsv7.dpuf
Oh really now?

I don't think you know what a meme is, and pot, meet kettle. Objectively speaking, iCloud going down this frequently (or even by your magic number of once per 2 weeks) makes it worse than most other cloud service providers. But, go ahead, keep up with your hyperbolic statements of Rah Rah Apple and continue misconstruing others' posts.

Someone else said once every 2 weeks, and that is clearly an exaggeration. It goes down nowhere near like that.

Prove to me that iCloud is worse. Compare all the iCloud outages with the other services outages.

I'm waiting.
