Same here! 2 hours left and I have a 10mpbs internet connection.
You can untick the Recovery Update if you want to download that later, exactly what i've done. 12 minutes left

Earlier today, iCloud.com still wouldn't let me transfer from MobileMe, but just now it finally did let me complete the transfer. Nice to see (though I don't even really need it) that you can move without losing the iWeb hosting and other features, only some of the syncing features.

This actually works best for me. I was pissed I couldn't merge them into one ID. But this will work best for my wife and I to have separate clouds (non iTunes) and still share purchases through one iTunes account.DO NOT DO IT!
I was thinking about the same thing but then I realised that it would be just stupid.
The thing is that the iCloud ID is now associated with so many things apart from email and iTunes/AppStore password that I wouldn't want to share it with my wife for any purchases whatsoever.
So, what I understand is that I can keep making purchases on my Gmail account and use iCloud for all the other stuff; whether its Mail/Contacts/Calendar/Documents/Backup/PhotoStream/Sharing, etc.
This gives me the freedom to use my own content personally without anyone having to disable those options in settings.
Apple may introduce a feature in the future to share one's own PhotoStream with another iCloud account; so that could work.
But for now, its in the best interest to keep different accounts for Purchases and Personal Content; works for me.![]()
Is there a direct link for iOS 5 rather than getting it from iTunes?
For what it is worth, here's a little update:This actually works best for me. I was pissed I couldn't merge them into one ID. But this will work best for my wife and I to have separate clouds (non iTunes) and still share purchases through one iTunes account.
I was planning on holding out until I could merge accounts. But I may give it a whirl. If nothing else, I can reserve a me.com address for my wife.
