Hi, I have an issue with iCloud Drive-Documents and Desktop.

I turned on sync Documents and Desktop in system settings as I needed to sync a few documents but it's actually the whole folder they are syncing with is not what I want so I turned this option off, and I tried several times to delete the 2 folders in my Finder (in iCloud Drive) and as soon as I delete them, they re-appear.

Ant that uses space in my cloud storage for nothing. I did research and I turned the computer off and on, I did everything but I don't know how to get rid off these folders and this sync...

Anybody has a clue? Thanks.

You can't delete the Desktop or Documents folders in iCloud even if the folders are empty if you enable the iCloud backup / syncing feature.

And yes ... I also find this annoying. You can delete what's inside the folders, but you can't delete the folders themselves. you can disable the syncing in Settings > clicking your account picture > iCloud > Drive > and toggle off Desktop & Documents Folders.

I know, but I disabled the "Desktop and Documents " in system settings. And even with that, the docs stay in my icloud drive. this morning i installed garage band on my ipad, and now I have to have the garageband folder in my icloud drive even when I disable the option to have it in my settings...

Yes ... once you enable that feature ... there's no way to delete them even after disabling it. It's very annoying because I like to have control over what goes into my iCloud drive.
