Ok, registered dev here with Yosemite and iCloud Drive.

Photostream is legacy - when I just took a photo on my 5s with iCloud drive and photo stream active, the photo appeared in both my iCloud drive on my iPad and on the photo stream in iPhoto.

Eventually photo stream will not exist even on the mac when they release the new photos app.

So don't freak out - hopefully you have access to your photo stream on another iOS device thats not on 8 or on a mac with iPhoto installed.

Where is "iCloud Drive on my iPad" located?

It will just appear under Albums < Recently Added

and that is what is showing? and iCloud Drive named album? or how do you know that the photos there are going to iCloud? where is the documentation for this feature?

The entire reason I ordered the 16gb iphone 6 instead of the 64 was because of photo stream. This sucks big time.

Yes I thought the same, less physical storage and more iCloud storage, it sucks that there is no word from Apple and they've removed the marketing pages too.

Guess i either have to return my 16gb and get the 64 or put 0 music on my new phone.

I have a couple of doubts;

Is iCloud Photo Library already working? Just updated to iOS 8.

How do I get to have the other apps filters on the native photos app? Instagram, etc.

Bigger question: I have about 5000 pictures on iPhoto on my Mac, now that I'm using the 200 gb iCloud Drive plan, I would like to be able to see them all on all my iOS devices. How do I send them to iCloud? Do I drag them all from the library section on iPhoto to the photo stream section? And have them upload? I understand videos will sync too but not on iPhoto until 2015.

all this is more confusing than i thought it would be.....

weird. I still have my icloud photo library. upgraded to 200gb and uploaded my entire 21gb photo library to it. the beta thing scares me so I didnt select to delete them from the phone.

How were you able to upload them to icloud? Option is no longer there for me in itunes.

i did it on the phone. as soon as i upgraded to 200gb i turned on icloud photo library on the phone and it did it in the background.

where do you exactly turn on iCloud photo library? i looked under settings-icloud but i don't see it. I already chose the 200gb plan.

Some people have, others don't. No one knows why exactly it is like that:confused:
