LOVE your user name (hate that you had to use that). I submitted in the Feedback app yesterday!Just please keep reporting it in the feedback app so that they know.
For me I saw it fixed with the version before the release candidate. Then when I updated to the release version it was broken again, just one direction, trying to close a tab on my MacBook Pro, it would disappear from the cloud tabs window on all devices but the tab wouldn't actually close on the Mac Studio. Going back the other way, the Studio could close a tab on the MacBook. And Phone could do both. But then I restarted all the Macs and the problem went away, but then came back. SO I'm maybe seeing some intermittent issues?I installed the release candidate on my desktop (since that already had a beta install earlier in Sequoia), and I can confirm that this issue has -- finally -- been fixed (again).
It acted janky for a little bit in terms of my different devices. I had to toggle off iCloud Safari synching on each device, and that fixed itFor me I saw it fixed with the version before the release candidate. have you tried turn it off and on again via iCloud settings --> Safari? Not for me
Yeah, I’ve tried plenty over the years to “fix” this. Whatever ends up working, it’s only temporary until it gets borked again.have you tried turn it off and on again via iCloud settings --> Safari?
I found this Reddit page and followed the instructions to delete the stuck tabs and they are gone now and iCloud tab syncing still works. I didn't both turning off Safari syncing, though I did close Safari on all my devices.
This fix isn't quite as easy as the one for the iPhone and iPad, but it does work.
Can confirm this problem existed in Sonoma so like 4 years after Catalina. Now the "zombie" tabs issue I was having earlier this year with Sequoia wasn't the same issue as back then but similar in that you could see tabs that had been closed, they just weren't persistent and reappear after being closed/removed.This has been resolved since Catalina. I think OP is trying to necromance this thread into the next decade
same.. I have been using a second profile as the main and the sync is perfect. I tried going back to the main profile and deleted the second profile a few weeks ago to see if this was resolved. It wasn't. So I'm back to the second profile as main method. Can confirm this problem existed in Sonoma so like 4 years after Catalina. I've not yet tried to switch back to the main profile after creating a second profile as a work around. So no idea if issue carried over to MacOS 26 and iOS 26.
That’s just incorrect. It was still happening to me on iOS / iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia just a few weeks ago. Though that time it later corrected itself. I don’t have any issues right now (currently on OS 26).This has been resolved since Catalina. I think OP is trying to necromance this thread into the next decade
