can you help out?![]()
Thank you so much. I was lost. Now when I replace the file... Do I have to name the new icon that in its place?
"icon@2x~iPhone.png"
for some reason i cant seem to change the twitter icon, anyone know why?
You are using a theme? If yes, change twitter icon within theme. Var/stash/themes.xxxx/yourtheme.theme/Bundles/twitter file - may be named com.apple.twitter)
If not, alter icon at var/mobile/twitter/twitter.app/Icon-production@2x
Yea Im using a theme, there no twitter folder in the bundles folder though, i found it here
/private/var/stash/Themes.CiFHoi/TruHD/Folders/Twitter.app
Im replacing the icon but it wont change at all, im not sure what im doing wrong
Ok
Common mistakes:
Not utilizing the same file properties as the original file. i.e. "mobile, mobile, read write, read, read" vice "mobile, root, read write execute, read write, read write" or something similar. Make sure original file and your file are identical.
Not using an identical file name. i.e. original file was Icon@2x.png (with a capital I) and you mistakenly used a lower case "i" for Icon@2x or vice versa.
Well its not the file name because I used both uppercase and lowercase but its still not working. Im guessing it is the file properties but I have no idea what you mean, how can I figure out the properties and fix it?
In ifile, go to the file you want to change and to the right of the file name is a blue circile with an white arrow in it. Click on it. Make sure ownership and access permissions match up to the original file.
I dont have ifile, how can I do this in winscp? and I think i deleted the original file, any other way to find out the properties?
iFunBox is for both pc and Mac and is a great free program and is just like iFile. iFunBox is very, very simple to use. Highly recommend it. Just plug your phone into the computer and off you go.
As for the file properties, there should be another icon file within that folder. Just look at the properties for that one. 99.99% of the time, they use the same file properties.
