It won't be on the back. The aesthetically pleasing place to put it would suit absolutely no-one i.e central. It would have to be on or near the top right or top left to be anywhere near a natural action and at least 50% would complain. They've done some questionable things in their time but nothing that daft.

Apple certainly won't delay any technology because of a feature that you don't like. It's A matter of when the technology is mature enough past research and development when They decide to release it. And knowingly how they do things, that's on their terms.
i believe apple will launch only two models this year iPhone 7S & iPhone 7S Plus with OLED display and save iPhone 8 for next year.until then technology will be ready for touch id under the display, hope apple may never launch a iPhone with touch id on the back.

Edit :- that thread which you are referring to doesn't guarantee iPhone 8 will be launched this year So it's just a predictions

If that's your beliefs, then why did you start a thread based stating it would be labeled the "iPhone 8" with OLED?

Edit: @Sunny1990. You were quoted multiple times it would be labeled the "iPhone 8." You reverted back to calling it the 7s.

Alot of people including me feel touch ID is a bad idea on the back of the new iphone.

However it can be made a bit better, by not scanning the fingertip but the whole fingers. This way you can just slide over the back of the iphone a little and are done authorising yourself.
I'm no expert, but I think that's an excellent idea. The whole back of the phone is a scanner that periodically scans.

If I were Mr Apple, I'd be running with this idea.

Touch ID on rear of phone is a waist and not where your hand normally sits

There's no compromise here and truthfully it's doubtful Apple would relocate it to the back. Especially since the majority of Galaxy S8 reviews criticized the rear Touch ID

That's neither cost effective nor a good idea in general.
