For whatever reason they leaked, I doubt the CEO of a high profile company would acknowledge a slip up in the company's security efforts. Steve would basically be taking a shot at his own company if he joked about the leak or even acknowledged it.

Steve will get up there, and present the new iPhone as if nothing happened. Do you think they'd honestly want to draw even more attention to these security breaches?

You obviously didn't see the keynote when he introduced the Power Mac G5 after the specs had been leaked on Apple's own website...

Honestly, I think the people that have heard about the leak and all that constitute a very small minority in comparison to the rest of the world.

The leaked iPhone story, complete with pictures, has been on Yahoo's front page, CNN, trended on Twitter, etc. etc. several times since it leaked.

Demo what we have already seen? What exactly have you seen so far besides hardware? You have no idea how the video chat feature will work, you don't know if the flash is for only pics or both pics and vid,,,you don't know hoe many megspixels...you really don't know anything about the new iPhone

If anything...this leaky phone has more hype than any previous iPhones...ever

Your last phrase is correct... however, most of the stuff you said are things that take literally no time to announce... "great new 5MP camera, takes STUNNING photos" that will take a MAX of 1-2 minutes, as will the flash... how the front cam will work will be a big part but all of those other things you mentioned are minuscule to take up more than a couple minutes.

Poorly structured sentences above... sorry, lol. I was on the phone and me and multitasking are non-existent.

It would be a great PR move if they brought out a happy but embarrassed Gray Powell who still had his job.

I know I'd feel better about buying the iPhone 4 from Apple. I am still pissed at Gizmodo for that whole fiasco.

Steve walks on stage to introduce the new phone, pats his pocket to retrieve it, it's not there!, Gray walks on stage hands the phone to Steve who thanks him admitting it's a mistake anyone could make.. Cue huge audience response laughter and applause..this gives a nod to those that know what happened helping establish trust by admitting the embarassing truth while those who don't know think little of it.

Steve carries on....

There is still a lot we don't know about the iPhone,

We don't know what camera is like
We don't know if there is a 64GB version
We don't know the CPU clock
We don't know the GPU model
We don't know the amount of RAM
We don't know whether it has a wifi N standard, or Bluetooth 3.0
We don't know what the final design is going to look like, screws, seams...
We've never seen it on

We don't really know much at all except for the design and that it uses an A4 SoC.

No that i think about it, it REALLY SUCKS how we already know about the next iPhone.

THANKS A LOT GRAY, thief, and gizmodo!!!

Hey, knowing what the new one looks like and having a hint about its features is what motivated me to send my Droid back to Verizon.
