A source already announced that 24 Million iPhone will be delivered for 2010 that means that iPhones are readdy for sale. I would say they will start pre-ordering the next day of it's announce and I will be available on the stores 14th June!

So they are ready for sale today? You know, there are a few months left in 2010? :p They are still in a factory or on a boat on their way over. They are not "ready for sale".

They always launch on a Friday, so the 14th is out. 18th.

What bothers me though is AT&T blocked out all vacations for the month of June...which means why would they release the phone the 18th or 25th, that's 18 to 25 days of blocked vacation for no reason.

I really have no clue when it will be released but in order for the blocks to make sense, it should be released on the 7th, or at least that week sometime.

Even though that makes sense to you, it's just not the way Apple does things. They have a flair for the dramatics so they have to give people time to prepare and make lines, and for the media to build it up. Plus why would they release it that day or week when WWDC is running? You dont want developers running out on the rest of the event to go buy an iphone.

Will ATT stores have the new iphone on release day or just the apple stores? I'll be switching to ATT and need to get a 2nd line free phone (non iphone) and I assume apple store doesn't sell those...

Oooh! You should make a poll option and we'll all vote on what day we think iPhone 4 will be released! JK ;)

AT&T stores had the 3GS on launch day, just the same as Apple stores.

This is a good thing - I am pretty sure I will have to go to an att store as well. I am moving my phone from one family plan to another (I got married this year, need to move my phone with my wife's rather than my parents plan).

I am curious though - my 3Gs has an upgrade eligibility date of 6/20/10 according to the att website under my account. I am listed as the main line (out of 3 phones) so I am guessing since the voice minutes and text plan are under my phone, it ticks me over the $100 mark and gives me that early full upgrade discount.

I am pretty sure I shouldn't move my 3Gs to my wife's plan yet even though my eligibility date is only a month away as it would probably bump it out into 2011 if I do that? I am not confident this is going to go smooth... I probably need to stop by the att store prior to launch day to get a game plan - i'm sure getting this worked out ON launch day will be madness

Your instincts are correct. Get your upgrade BEFORE moving your phone to the new account.

I agree. Since they moved a bunch of peoples upgrade dates to the 20th, and they usually go on sale on a Friday, the 25th seems right to me. But who knows.

Then why wouldn't they move their upgrade to the 25th? I say it's the 20th to help spread the traffic a bit. They don't want EVERYONE coming that first weekend.

Did they do this for people on the 3Gs? Was the upgrade date just before or just after the launch?

Lots of people have reported being upgrade-eligible on June 21. Others who are eligible later have reported dates like July 21, September 21, and October 21. So it would seem that AT&T is spacing people out an integer number of months apart depending on last upgrade date and how much they spend on their monthly bill.

This would suggest, therefore, that it's announced tomorrow (obviously) and launched June 21. This gives developers time to play with the final betas/GM of iPhone OS 4, test their apps, submit for review, and a week of app reviews before posting iPhone OS 4 to the general public and allowing OS 4-approved apps out the gate. This will probably happen before the 21st (pulls load off the iTunes server for new phone activations). We may very well see iPhone OS 4 go live that Friday (June 18) to allow people to upgrade/download apps over the weekend and gives Apple a full business week to work out issues with the activation servers during normal business hours (as opposed to launching Friday and having to call in a weekend crew if issues persist).

yeah I think you guys are right about the phone releasing on the 21st.

any chance OS 4 will be made available tomorrow? As I recall OS 3 was available at the time of an announcement?

iPhone releases historically are on Fridays. 21st isn't a Friday. 18th is though.

many of you guys are saying the 18th (the friday after the week of conference)

many of you forgetting the 3G > 3Gs was not a big upgrade, so materials was not a big problem, however according to the leaks, this is a completely redesigned iPhone, so it MAY take awhile longer than a week of introduction

im still banking on the 18th though

True, but they have been working for months on this. Materials decisions were and orders were most likely placed long ago. It's not like this is the first iPhone.

i was suppose to wait till november 11 for my upgrade, i upgraded my 3g to a 3gs less then a year now.

and my upgrade changed, i checked my upgrade and i can upgrade when ever.
