I don't mean the whole L Ron thing, but if it suddenly started to promote a 'way of life' with philosophy and meaning....I'm just wondering how many people would go for it?

While I am a great fan of Apple's products, their design, their usability and the whole Apple ecosystem, I don't require a religion as such to govern the way I live. Apple is a commercial entity, I am an individual person. I live life as I see appropriate and don't require religion - Apple, Christian, Buddhist, Scientologist or otherwise - to work out how best to live my own unique life.

Nope, i use common sense and my own will to determine my path in life and who i am. I don't need a fairy tale/legend/book to help me do this.

However if the religion helps people, meh who cares.

I'm afraid for some, Apple already IS treated as if it were a religion.

Not good. :(

"Real" religions are bad enough. Let's try to keep things in some perspective.

No, they're a company. I'm not going to worship a company.

A way of life promoted by the head of that company? Possibly, but probably not.

Nope, as I am a Christian and that is completely counter to my beliefs

In today's consumerist society, Apple is already a religion, with the Apple Store being its temple, the iCloud being its diety and its idols being the iPhone and iPod.

But no, I am not a religious person.

No. And I read the OP's name as whack job for some reason. I guess that is telling.

There are hundreds of thousands of Apple worshipers that belong to the Church Of Apple already. Yet few if any will admit It.

All one has to do to identify them is read their signature lines or notice their choice of avatars. Some reveal it in their usernames.

Now that their God is dead, the dynamics of the Church Of Apple will slowly change. L Ron's equivalent is gone.

You buckin' for the iPope job??

Lol!

For the OP, I assume your question is tongue-in-cheek. Apple is a large corporation out there to make as much money as it can. Yes it has good products, but I don't see any equation with it as a religion or a standard to live by.

Just curious what do you (OP) see in Apple that equates to "philosophy and meaning"?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

It's already a religion. I see all these WWJD stickers everywhere.

What Would Jobs Do.

But seriously, no.

Yes, I would join. F'shizzle.
