Then are we even sure this really is a TRUE reading???? Surely if it was a true reading....some people would be on 2....some 4, some 5 some 1 etc etc....but 95% of ppl seem to be showing 3 bars like me.

Just tried it. Death Grip goes from 5 to 3 bars, instead of 5 to 2 bars on 4.0.

Mine fluctuates anywhere from 3-5 in my office now when I'm holding it. When it's on my desk it stays on 5. It used to only be on 5 no matter what.

no i meant just when it's resting on the table mine and most others are showing 3 now.....which would be good if it does actually represent a true figure.....but it's just made me suspsicious that most people i have seen talking to on here have 3 also......i would have thought since everyone is somewhere different that we would have a much more variance of figures.

Yes and it's probably a combination of AT&T being not very good and the iPhone also not being very good as a phone. It's never really been a good phone ("phone" as in something you dial and talk on, everything else about it is unbelievable). Ever.

for the record mine used to be 5 resting on table and about 3 or 4 with death grip......now its 3 resting on table and 2 or 3 with death grip........but then i never had any issues with it b4, never had dropped calls or anything so i aint really that bothered either way.....just thought it was a bit suss why most ppl had 3

It can't vary that much though. There are only five bars. There's some wiggle room in each bar for slightly different signals to be represented similarly.
