If I rip a 2-hr DVD movie for playing on new iPod only,
how large would the file be?

Basically I just want to decide if I should order the 30GB
or 60GB. Leaning towards the 30GB right now becuase
I prefer the thinner profile. On the other hand, the 60GB
has more capacity and longer battery... :)

Thanks for any info!

At the data rate Apple has been encoding their TV shows at. It appears to be about 200MB for 43 minutes or so. So figure 600MB for 2 hours.

So assuming all of my MP3s amount to only 14GB, I have
16GB left for video?(if I go with the 30GB iPod) This
means there's enough space for 50 hours of video, or 25
2-hour movies? That's plenty for me... I'm going to order
the 30GB version now.

THANKS for your info!
