I guess the problem is that I was asking for pants pocketable ways to carry it. A lot of people who aren't large males are finding it very uncomfortable to walk or sit in.

Either don't buy it, or carry it.. It's weird that people can't work this out..

Holsters, Backpacks, Fanny Packs, oh my!

My 6+ is on its way... not saying it won't fit in my jeans pocket - it may. In the meantime, I'm just curious what other options you guys have entertained or used.

General categories or links to products appreciated.

my phone is carried in my pocket. The idea that people's phones are bedding in their pocket is crazy. Your pants would have to have it's own gravitation field. That or they are putting it int heir back pockets and forgetting about the phone and sitting on it

For many, the benefit of large screen/longer battery will outweigh the inconvenience of having to find a creative way to carry it. This thread is about finding ways to mitigate that inconvenience. You're not contributing - please leave the thread.

Thanks, but I'm not so much worried about bending as I am it just being uncomfortable to walk around and sit down. Not painful, just a little uncomfortable.

Had mine in my jeans pocket for a week. Didn't notice any difference from the 5s..

I am a guy and am using a case/holster combo at Sedio. My favorite case is called the Surface.

Not a bad option. How do you feel about the screen being exposed and hanging off your belt? Feels like every table corner is another chance to bust the screen.

I've carried mine in my jeans, shorts, and slacks pockets for a week, and I've noticed very little difference from my 5s. I've had to check several times to make sure that it was in my pocket. Comfortable in every situation.

Oh dear God.

Have things really got so bad with Apple that people can no longer put their phone in their pockets?

This is nearly getting as bad as people saying you have to hold a phone a certain way to use the iPhone 4 with #antennagate

I have an iP6+ and I put it in my pocket. If it bends a bit, so be it.

You will always have to make some massive sacrifices to be an Apple user in some way, either that or turn your brain off and pretend everything's perfect.

face points to the inside!

I have a case and holster that I have been using for my 5 and 5s phone. I keep it in my shirt pocket with the screen pointing out of the case for quick access. But I keep the screen faceing my chest (for better protection of the screen). But if I am doing something outside I turn it around (like it was designed to be used while in the holster anyway) so the screen is protected. Keeping it in the holster while in my shirt pocket gives it a small hump which also helps it stay in my pocket when bending over.
This also works great with the 6 plus and it gives you the option to stick it on your belt if you want. The holster also acts as a stand when I lay it on the desk or bed in the horizontal position.

bought one of these

I wonder if people with the note 3 havr these kind of issues. Unless you are wearing skinny Kanye West type jeans you shouldn't have an issue with pockets. Most of my friends have g3's, note 3's, and 6 pluses. We all wear regular size jeans with no problem fitting the phones in our pockets.

The screen faces in towards to holster which will not damage the screen. It all works well and beat the pocket thing. I am out in the field often and most important to me is being able to get to my phone quickly and re holster without fuss.

I've been carrying it in my jacket pocket when I go outside, and shorts pocket when indoors. Also ordered a heavy duty case (the kind with rubber and plastic layers) with removable clip/holster off Amazon when it was on sale for like $4. Haven't received it though.

I went to the Apple-Store with every intention of buying an iPhone 6+, they even had it in-stock that morning.

But then I thought about just this, how do I carry it around? I quickly realized that it wouldn't fit in my slacks pocket when I'm at work. And it won't fit in the chest pocket of my scrubs either when I wear those. It might fit ok in a lab coat pocket, but I don't like to wear those most of the time, if I'm going to have to do that, I would rather just use an iPad mini.

So I went with the 6, and I've been very pleased with the phone. I do have to admit, it pokes out of my jeans pocket slightly. The 6+ would have stuck out a full inch or more.

I think you need to be a serious power user to really get enough benefit from the 6+, it's a monstrosity.
