If only they made a black iBook

I'm a fan of the black laptops myself - although not so much glossy. Satin black would be better.
Still, if they offered a glossy black iBook I might spring for it.

urgh no thanks. besides i think its against Apple's design rules. for computers at least. the iBook looks like a blank canvas- the designers choice. if apple do think like that.
black is dirty and cheap looking. for laptops anyways. I used to have a black IBM R90 (i think it was?) laptop which was just foul.

I'd love to have my iBook painted bright orange. Up here in Canada I keep losing mine in the snow. Third time this summer!

Umm, have you ever owned or used a PSP? A black iBook would be the same thing. I would not want sometihing with 10 times the surface area of the PSP to be constantly cleaning and buffing.
Anyway back to the thread, I would never buy a black iBook.
I really like the sleek, minimilistic white which just looks so good, but as soon as they're black, people will mistake them for Dells.

I see how the white differentiates apple from all of the other brands. Dell laptops are ugly agreed. I do like the HP laptop look, though if they could make them a little more sleeker it would help.
Maybe apple could go for some kind of charcoal greyish color that is sort of rough feeling...almost military like...I dunno just something different than the white. But I'll definietly be happy with my pristine white ibook when it comes! I'm just looking forward to what apple will do next.

i think that a black ibook would be AWESOME. it would really make that glowing apple logo stand out, plus it would go with the new black nano that i plan on buying soon, when I go to the Apple Store in indy-ill feel better ahving it when i pay for it. 
I really love the white on the iBooks, but if Apple were to release it in black, I'm sure I'd like it. I think the black nano looks great.
i won't mind buying a black ibook like the carbon one from colorware, but i wish they paint the keys and other things that stand out as well, and make the originaly black parts like the letters on the keyboard white. so basically reversing the whole thing. and even better if it has a glowing neon look for the keys like minium calibi icons.
