What are you going to use it for? What kind of games do you like?

I have a PS3 and a Wii. The Wii is fun for multi-player party type games. Great for kids, has some decent titles (Zelda). The game makers have abandoned their PS3 and XBOX efforts to follow the money, which is Wii, so some more interesting stuff should pop out over the next year.

If you want online action, especially Halo, XBOX is a good option.

PS3 is great, games are still lacking, but its a great Blu Ray player as well.

Well, I am really unsure which one to get.
I love Resident Evil 4 on a Wii. I think that is the way to play 3rd-person shooter games. The control is just insanely fun.

I love PS3 because it will have Silent Hill 5 and Resident Evil 5.

But XBox 360 will get those games too. Besides, 360 also has more games than PS3 at the moment. BUT there's the red ring of death issue.

I only want to buy one console, so I'm torn between those three...
Talk about indecisive! lol.
ps. Personally, I prefer 3rd person games. No FPS cos I get dizzy.

XBox : Microsoft. NO.
PS3: Sony. Blu-ray and DVD regions. NO
Wii: Game regions. NO.

Even if price was taken out of the equation I'd stick with the Wii I have now. My reasoning is thus: None of the other consoles even comes close to matching the Wii's Virtual Console feature, as far as I know... and that is what I primarily use my Wii for.;)

Ah yes, I didn't even take that into account before

I've been reading through some classic Mega Drive and SNES mags recently and there are some little gems that I'm now waiting for. Alicia Dragoo, Heavy Unit and Gynoug look pretty sweet but probably too unheard of for Nintendo to bother with.

Though I play my 360 more often than the Wii d/t playing online with friends, I'd choose the Wii over that and the PS3. When I play the Wii (new games or VC) I tend to have a lot more fun than on the 360......plus it's a very social system....so my wife and friends will almost always join in if asked :)

If I was to buy a Wii, I'd be only for the VC. However, I can't justify that. It would be cool, but that money for old games? No thanks. That, and the 'Classic' controller is awful!

I like the 360 controller better than the PS2/3 one, but stating it's the best is really quite subjective. For a "3D - platformer" controller it's great IMO. I like how it feels in my hand and it's comfortable to hold for extended periods of time, but for a FPS, or any other game that requires a real pointing device, the 360's controller like any other thumb-twiddling-abomination is absolutely awful -- no buts about it.

The Wii's 'Classic' controller is great in my "opinion" and I've heard the same from others that have used it. I have 2 of them. You're honestly the first person I've heard stated it was awful that's used it more than just a glance -- if this is the case. Are you making your assumptions because of its dog bone shape? It's quite comfortable, not as much as the 360's gamepad, but still quite nice. The buttons and sticks all have a nice tactile feedback, which feel right. I prefer it over the 360's pad for old school games, since it's similar to a SNES controller for button placement and its d-pad's placement is primary, not secondary to an analogue stick.

Nintendo 64.

Goldeneye and Wetrix. :)

Seriously though, a Wii. I would say 360 but I don't have an HDTV so it's wasted on me.

The Wii. Mainly because of it's innovativeness but I can also point at the form factor and the games. Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Zelda why would you need anything else.

Ugh, that's hard. Really hard.

XBox 360 certainly has the best games collection currently out there, and XBox Live would be awesome if I'm not paying for it :) . I'm assuming I get the WiFi adapter free.

The Wii'll have the most stuff that interests me by the end of the year (Smash Bros Brawl!!!).

The PS3 is definitely the best hardware and can do the most interesting things (come on, LINUX! And Home and EyeToy-based games). But I really don't see much in the immediate future that interests me. However, wherever Burnout Paradise and Kingdom Hearts 3 end up will make a HUGE difference in my decision. If PS3 got those two games, XBox 360 would drop off my consideration list.

With what we know right now? Wii. Realistically, I'd want Wii and one of the other two (my opinion is right on the edge, I see a ton of promise in the PS3, but the 360 has already delivered). Of course if price was not an issue at all I'd have all three :D

Of course, right now all I own is a Wii because it has the games I'm interested in (Smash Bros, Mario, Metroid, Zelda) and I refuse to pay over $300 for a console.

Wii is my first choice. I'm not a graphics whore, nor do I have an HDTV so I'm not craving HD content.

Also the controls had me from day one. It has seriously ruined me from using more traditional controllers.

That said, I think all three consoles have their strengths.

I would get a 360 because it has the graphics and the game selection. I would get a PS3 because it also has great graphics and Motor Storm is awesome! :D
