What is the Customer Referral Program?
Answer:
Refer-A-Friend is an online-only program that provides an incentive for referring new AT&T customers.
Both the existing AT&T customer and the person who is referred will each earn a $25 AT&T gift card for making a successful referral. Customers can earn up to $125 per year (rolling calendar) by participating in the program. Customers can register for the program and make referrals on the Refer-A-Friend website, which is located at
http://www.wireless.att.com/referral.
Wireless gift cards can be redeemed for great merchandise online at
www.wireless.att.com or at any AT&T company owned store. They can also be used towards paying your wireless bill online through myWireless Account, by phone (1-800-844-4930) or at participating AT&T stores.
How the program works:
If you want to make a referral
1) Complete the online program registration form.
2) Follow the directions on the program website to send referral e-mails.
3) Ensure that the person you refer registers for the program after activating their new AT&T service.
If some referred you
1) Activate new AT&T service on a qualifying wireless rate plan
2) Complete the online program registration form.
After you do your part we complete the process by:
1) Verifying the referral to ensure it meets the program requirements
2) Mailing the rewards to both you and the person you referred
Timing:
Verification of the referral will take up to 40 days. Once completed, fulfillment of the rewards will take 4 to 6 weeks.
Program Requirements:
The AT&T wireless Refer-A-Friend program is an 'online' only program, so you will need Internet access and your own e-mail address to participate. Each member may only register one wireless phone number and e-mail address in the program. By registering in the program you will be able to send referral e-mail messages and track the status of your referrals on the program website (
www.wireless.att.com/referral). Referrals made outside of the Refer-A-Friend program cannot be verified and consequently will not be eligible for any referral reward.
Eligibility:
Referrer (the person who makes a referral): To be eligible to send referral e-mail messages you must be on an AT&T wireless rate plan worth $9.99 or greater and be a registered member of the Refer-A-Friend program within a maximum of 15 days after your referee's service activation date.
Referee (the person who receives a referral e-mail message): To be eligible to earn a referral reward you must activate new AT&T wireless service on a rate plan of $39.99 or greater and have registered in the Refer-A-Friend program within a maximum of 30 days of your service activation date.
Please note that following types of service plans/accounts do not qualify for participation in the Refer-A-Friend program:
1) Prepaid plans
2) Corporate or Government accounts
3) Any accounts with 6 or more lines
4) Accounts activated through an AT&T reseller
