*IF* the iPhone 5 turns out to be a bit poo

I wonder if Apple knows if they don't make a hell of a phone that a lot of people are going to get the Samsung Galaxy S2..

I'll just stay with my iphone 4 and laugh at those who have already sold their unit before having any confirmed details about the update.

Why ? Personally I never sell my devices until after I have the new one. That said if I did sell my iPhone 4 before the announcement it wouldn't make a difference anyway. Even if it's a minor upgrade or change I will still upgrade to the new phone.
