Why would you take your phone out in the middle of any of those activities to begin with?

So, active life style means no need for phone or need for communication?

Bottom line, we all have different needs and expectations for our phone. For some of us, 6+ is too big to carry around.

No, because that would have signaled to me that Apple had finally lost their damn mind. iPhone Plus owner here, BTW. I love it. But if they had only offered the Plus size, that would be very troubling to me and a sign that Apple is on the decline. Though I still think they're slightly crazy for alienating a lot of the "small phoners" out there. Like I've mentioned before, I know several people who are just like "NOPE it doesn't fit in my girly pockets!"

I guess this question really gears toward iPhone 6 (not 6 Plus) users.

What if there were no options in screen size for the iPhone 6. Just one iPhone 6, and it has the 5.5" screen size. Would you still upgrade?

Only if the bezels were completely gone. Anything bigger than an HTC One M8 is a no go for me.

Yes, I was waiting for Apple to release a 5" + iPhone before I come back to the platform.

Absolutely not. Phones are simple communication devices, not mobile entertainment centres.

So why again do you own an iPhone? Go buy yourself a Motorola StarTAC

I am a 6+ user, so yes I would have.

However, I definitely see how the 5.5" size is polarizing. Not everyone wants a device this size and not everyone has use for a device this size. I'm glad Apple opted to give options this year in terms of size as well as color, and hope to see that trend continue. That way, everyone can find something within the iOS ecosystem that is right for them in their situation (assuming they want an iDevice). Bigger isn't always better for everyone.

For example, if the rumored 12" iPad is accurate, I will pass when I'm ready to upgrade my iPad (with the exception that if it's running OS X instead of iOS - then I'd be tempted). I don't want one bigger than my iPad 2 and have no need for a device that size - if I was going to need something like that I'd just use my MacBook.

So to each their own and I'm glad that there is a choice. I've also seen lots of people wishing for a 4" 6 so the market is definitely there for the smaller devices.

Nobody said that you can't have a phone and an active lifestyle, but how often are you whipping out your phone while going down a slope? And what phone out there would that be easy on?
