At this point the rumors seem heavy on wishful thinking and light on any substance
It is still possible to see one, but the lack of any credible parts leaks, etc. does seem to cast a lot of doubt

While this makes a lot of sense, I hope you are wrong.:p

Unless Apple is really on top of security just compare the number of iPhone 5 component photos vs the iPad Mini; both of which are rumored to be released around the same time.

It seems a new part or bit of info leaks about the iPhone 5 (whether credible or not) every other day.

We barely have received any info on the mini and have seen no supposed parts.

I personally can not wait for a mini, but I am getting a bit worried that we are not going to see one this year.
Apple is one of the best companies out there at keeping a secret so maybe the iPhone 5 leaks are intentional since they have stronger competition in the phone market and leaked info keeps people from buying anything else, but in the tablet world then they are so dominant that they don't need to tease anything.

I don't necessarily believe that but I do feel that we may not see the iPad Mini that everyone is expecting. It's a shame too because I already sold my iPad 3 due to the size keeping me from using it as much as Id like. (I now use an old iPad 2 which is still an awesome machine)

Well some of the more credible sources have said that they are working on one, so that is at least something. .

Of course, there are a few iPad mini's sitting in the lab, may be a few decoys out to weed out the bad sub-contractors. But the real question is will Apple announce it in September!

Jobs had said he did not like a small tablet.

Remember the original iPhone? No leaks. Remember the original iPad? No leaks until just an hour before the announcement (an image of a tablet screwed to a table running Google Maps).

Usually, only revisions of existing products leak out.

I like the way you think. Hopefully your logic pans out.

Because there will be no iPad mini announced Sept 12.
