No issues here. 12 Pro Max. Transfered data from my previous iPhone. All settings are on and untouched. So far so good. At night I only see 1-2% drop. But doesn't really matter. I charge it to 80% every morning when I wake up.

It’s a bit odd, but as i said, if it’s a new set up phone, there’re some possibility. And you mentioned earlier that now already resolved ? How many percentage drop now ? Mind to share what did u do ?
It drops 2% overnight which is nothing. I have all background refresh off. LTE no 5g auto. Its really not an issue anymore lol I was trying to contribute to the thread. It didn't even bother me when it happened since its a new software and apps haven't been updated. Its normal to experience this on a new software! Anyway yah lol

No battery drain. I'm on AT&T and have not made any changes to battery settings or background app refresh. Setup as new and reinstalled apps from scratch. iPhone 12 Pro
how do we get back saved messages and info in health app etc if we set up as new? Is it already there when we sign into iCloud?

i guess I’m trying to understand the difference between what’s saved in our iCloud account(sync?) vs iCloud backup

Thanks for responding.

My issue has been regarding battery drain during night time. It doesn’t occur during daytime.

You say you charge your phone over night, so you wouldn’t know if you had the same issue.

Thanks again.

Oh, sorry! There have been a handful of times that I (and my daughter) haven't charged our phones overnight either because we didn't need to or simply forgot, and we haven't experienced any battery drain above a miniscule amount, like 1-2%. Again, WiFi off, cellular data only, Sprint/T-Mobile, 5G, background app refresh on, Bluetooth always on, notifications on, etc.

My 14 month old iPhone 11 Pro ios 13.3 never experience any battery drainage overnight I lose around 4%-6% warm summer in the winter I lose around 10%. I blame the cold temp.

Iphone 12 pro max never ever had any battery issues only 3 percent battery lost at night..

Go to the battery section in the Settings app and tap on the graph during the times of power drain and the list below will update to show which apps are using the power.

Here's mine from last night.

I charged my Pro Max to 100% by 09:30 yesterday, 6th January. As of 07:17 on 7th January, it is showing 92%.

Also on O2. I won’t know what you have disabled or enabled compared to what I have enabled or disabled.

can't comment at night as I always charge at night no matter what the battery % is....standby during the day though is very good.

Is there a reason not to charge at night?

however in the past when I did not charge at night it could drop anything from 7% to 14% but that was on previous models which really isn't a good measurement.

I recently moved over from Three.

I got a better deal on o2.

I’m wondering if the change in network provider has something to do with it?

I usually charge my phone before I go to bed during the workweek. I never ever leave it charging overnight. By the time I wake up, it either doesn’t drain at all since I unplugged or at most 1-2%. I don’t have wifi on, Bluetooth is always on, background refresh is off, do not disturb is on during my sleeping hours, night shift is on at a scheduled time (I put it to activate from 10pm to 7am). I believe that’s all. I do have 5G on auto and I get full bars.

No battery drain on my 12 Pro. I charge it to 100% before going to bed and it's 99-100% in am. Cellular on (LTE only), Bluetooth on, Background refresh off for some apps. Carrier is Verizon.

iPhone 12 PM, AT&T.
No real unusual battery drain. I rarely charge my phone overnight, charging on commutes and burst charging when necessary through the day is enough for me. I have a lot of settings optimized, the only possible drainers I have on are significant locations and motion calibration/ distance. Overnight I turn on airplane mode, wifi on, bluetooth off, sleep mode/ DND on. I lose about 3-4% over 7-8 hours.

No drain here. IPhone 12 Pro Max on Visible. Usually 5G auto, not sure how much 5G service I actually get. No battery saving options on, full brightness kind of chick. No battery issues and like to keep it that way.

On EE in the UK with a 12 Pro. It’s connected to WiFi mainly with all kinds of background stuff running (Reddit, email, FB, Twitter et al), not suffered any issues. It’s also connected to a Garmin 6 Pro

Several people have posted saying that it seems that the battery drain only happens overnight ... I have a 12 pro and my battery drains all day. I had an 11 pro and one charge would last me an entire day, and part of a second day if I forgot to charge at night. My 12 pro with the same level of usage burns through TWO full charges every day completely. It will die by noon every day if I don't recharge it, and with a full recharge it's dead again by 6pm or so. This is ridiculous.

First major battery drain last night with 12 pro. Unplugged from charge before bed. Was on 100% at 2300 woke up at 0600 was down to 72%! Currently after 2 hours Screen on time, Spotify and web browsing I’m on 49%.

previous day I unplugged 1700 Saturday evening then put on charge last night at 2130 at 19% after 7 hours screen on time.
so god knows what’s happened to it. first time I’ve had major battery issues since I got it two weeks ago.
5G is off, I only switch it on when I’m in places with no WiF, Bluetooth is on for watch, screen brightness on Auto, dark mode on.

i have the 12 Pro Max and i never have any battery drain UNLESS im using FaceTime with weak cellular signal. few days back i had 5 hours of SOT with 71% of battery left(wifi only). and i dont use iCloud.

Coming from a 7+... the 12P battery is the best I’ve ever experienced.

This is the first iPhone I am not purposely charging every night and I have noticed zero battery drain at night.
