Why do you feel the need to know a person's income on here and then judge them as to whether they can actually afford said VP?

I think your thread is in bad taste.
The poll is anonymous. Like all polls, it provides an aggregated look into the demographics of AVP purchasers, not information about specific forum users to "judge them."

I think your response is both accusatory and weirdly defensive.

135k + 40-100k per year in rsu vests. This is a splurge and it’s going to have to be absolutely amazing for me to not return it.

When this poll is sufficiently matured, it would be good to lay it against a similar breakdown of median income ranges... which- I'll guess- will uncannily match up... illustrating that people in all income brackets that want one, will find a way to get one... which is already the case with the rest of the stuff in Apple's product mix... generally priced much higher than comparable offerings.

And then it may be worth checking the black market rates for non-essential organs. I've heard inflation has jacked some of that up too. I mean who really needs TWO lungs. And livers can often regenerate. One kidney can do the job. And if Kangaroos can hop, do we really need BOTH legs? Bonus: if Kangaroo pockets can carry a baby 'roo, why pay $200 for the carrying case? Etc. ;)

Me too. I'm simply suspecting that perhaps OP is thinking that this poll will show some heavy skew towards the very rich by the line in post #1... and I suspect we'll learn that while those with higher incomes will- likely- show more volume, even those at the lower income levels will show some buying too.

And if overlaid on the average median incomes for the country, it will show that the bell curve will probably not look different for Apple fanatics hanging out around here vs. the average Joes who don't.

In other words, my guess is OP suspects that the "Taylor Swifts" are the buyers... but I suspect the poll will show that some of her servants (and maybe their servants) are able to swing it too... as is the case with all of Apple's relatively expensive offerings.

But we'll see. Maybe the poll will show it actually is only for the Elites among us.

It's pricey but a there's a wide range of people that can make a $300-$400 payment per month for it.

Putting it in perspective a higher end 2014 iMac that wasn't even fully loaded(4.0GHz/16GB/256GB-SSD/M295X) would have been equivalent to $3,765 today. Yes thats a regular computer but just putting into perspective it's not like we don't see people dropping money on various Apple things all the time and we don't question it much. Heck you could drop 2+ grand on upgrading your Macbook Pro storage.

True. I know on places like affirm you can even stretch the payment out to 36 or even 48 months.

Just depends on the person and how important this is in their life I guess

My dear sir, that is none of your business you’re fishing for reasons why people won’t like and buy the Vision Pro. What’s your income?
Really now. You don’t think people might be curious what other people that can afford this do for a living or how much they make?
