If you could change one thing to the iPhone.

I would love a native speech to text not requiring an app, basically a microphone in the on the keyboard.
 
Remove the home button and give me a slightly bigger screen (don't want a bigger form factor). I always said "who cares" but so many of my friends have newer Android devices and that big screen is just awesome.

Haha but seriously, ONE thing would have to be durability. I've dropped my iPhone ONCE (actually a close female friend who i just did not have the heard to get mad at) onto concrete from about 4 feet and I was extremely lucky it didn't crack the screen and only scraped the antenna...but it's pretty damn stressful having to worry about dropping it all the time knowing that it will very likely break/get badly damaged. IDK what they can do about the metal band, but gorilla glass (I really take care of mine, no pockets with keys/coins, no setting it on rough surfaces harder than wood, etc.) but i have 8+ hairlines (only like 2 around a CM and then a bunch of smaller ones) on the front and only like 2-3 on the back...I don't set it down on the front :/ (but I have a feeling its from the rivets on my jeans since i wear jeans almost every day)...
 
Well, since I already have improved notifications, Quick Reply for texts, unlimited pages in folders and WiFi hotspot because I'm jailbroken, the only thing I'd really like is a bigger phone with a bigger screen
 
1. Dedicated camera button
2. 64 GB memory
3. Personal SMS tones
4. Attach photos in replied emails directly
5. Personal folders in camera roll created directly on the iPhone
6. Personal lock screen with calendar reminders, message info and widgets of choice
7. Be able to create 'group contacts'
8. 3G Face Time
9. Notification alarms on low battery and when fully charged

That's about it - with these changes my iPhone 4 would truly be the perfect smartphone !!

Why do you even need more power? Everything is zippy anyways. More power just means apps will require more juice to run, therefore everything will feel like it runs at the same speed anyways...
 
A nice little LED notification light on the front top corner (doesn't matter whether it's right or left). Under the glass like how the front camera is.
 
The glass! I really like the look and feel of it but I just don't like living in fear of dropping my phone. I've yet to drop it but I go into panic mode whenever someone else is holding it.
 
First thing would be an optical zoom, something in the 3-4x range, so I would never have to carry another camera again.

Second thing would be 64GB, which I'm sure we'll get with the next model.
