Hmm...just thinking how much checking the forums from my iPhone via EDGE would suck if everyone chose a 130kb avatar. Whatever happened to nice static images that are a couple k?

oh and regarding file size concern .. i think i might be able to get this one under 100kb which is about the size that other avatars are 'round here 🙂

I think arn should spam everyone's tars (including those without one) with that super annoying crawling knat/bug tar that seems real popular these days. Just for a week as a social experiment to see how many users will be driven into insanity and smash their screens- requiring a purchase of the new system (if laptop) or screen. With some 100k members that should show up as a temporary spike in Apple's quarterly sales figures 😛

turns out the file size limit is more like 19.5 Kb

compressing and editing the gif i wanted to use as an avatar down to 19.5kb was.... lets just say challenging... anyway, I'm happy with the result
