If you couldn't have a MBP what would be your next choice?

If you couldn't have a MBP what would be your next choice? Mine would be either an iMac refurb 24" or one of those MacBooks off of eBay that were made in 2008 and look just like MBPS

Like most people here i'd have a hard time going back to windows. I'd probably get a macbook but i'd have to get a mini for work because the macbook resolution is too small for what i do there

I was considering a hp envy14 so I'll probably have gotten that if not for the awesome Back to School promotion that happened. (Free iPod Touch 3G 8GB and a Free Printer) brought my costs all the way down.

I like the Sony Signature Series (I think the Vaio Z is part of it), BUT these things are even more over priced than Apple. Other than that, the HP Envy 15 looks nice...BUT I just can't go back to Windows. It's an OS that gives me nothing but anger and frustration, so I'd settle for a Macbook.

... and I'd grab a Sony notebook; currently have a P (VGN-P530H) here and it's nice. Fitting in my jeans front pocket is always a plus.

I just had to do a full restore on a friends HP laptop tonight. Unreal. They're so much worse then they used to be. After the installation there were so many crap pop ups (HP Total Care Advisor, HP Printing Assistant, Windows Defender, Windows Security Center, UAC, HP Wireless Assistant, Norton" the list when on and on!

Needless to say three hours later all the **** is uninstalled and its restored. I don't miss Windows one bit.

OMG...!!!! Same here... Last night I was trying to help a friend with a Gateway... and there is so much garbage on this thing... Took forever to boot... Very frustrating... Don't miss windows... Plus I realize this can happen on any computer, but they had the most toolbars... MSN, GOOGLE, YAHOO... the top 1/3 of the screen was just toolbars... They were using AVG Antivirus and it had it so bogged down... I guess this is good... Sure made me realize how much I like my MBP... WOW... !!!! just no comparison...
