I'd definitely try the new Gold color, as my current Space Gray feels a bit boring now.

I bought the SG max but if I could do it over again I would have gotten the silver.

I’d probably choose the same colour tbh, though I’d love to try the space grey phone for a month or so.

Space grey. I already tried silver with the X. So space grey would be different for me.

I would still get the Space Grey. Seeing the gold in the flesh, it looks great, but I like the stealthy look of the SG.

Never had any other iPhone other than space grey. With the X and XS max though I think that the white and the gold look better in a clear case.

I’d stick with Gold, though I got the Space Gray X and wished I’d gotten Silver once I saw them in person.

I have a space gray X (only chose it because rumors were saying the silver was going to be the hardest color to receive on launch day) and to this day I still regret the color. I hate black or any color close to it on phones. I wish I had chosen Silver. I’m getting the XS Max in the middle of February and I’m torn between gold and silver.

I was tempted by the Silver, mainly due to the bare stainless, but I played it safe and went for SG.

What sealed it for me was examining all the demo phones at the Apple Store during a bit of an interminable wait for a Shirt to take my money.

The PVD-coated SG and Gold phones did home some scratching, but much less than the Silver ones.

Granted, the Silver bands can be buffed out, while the PVD bands cannot, but no amount of buffing could remove the scratches on the bottoms of those phones. Just like the OG iPod 5GB I have.

The debate irked me because there is little reason to have one aside from the fact that Ive likes to design objects to be pretty and admired, not used.

I'd like to see Apple produce a phone inspired by old SLRs. Matte silver and textured black.

I've had six phones, and all of them have been white/silver, except my iPhone 6, and the only reason that one was space gray was because the space gray was so light that it was almost the same as the silver anyway that year.

When I bought my 8, I was planning on getting a jet black 8 if it were offered, but then it wasn't. Instead they came out with this milky/concrete silver which was stunning, and a really dull/faded black which just looked awful IMO, especially when the sun hit it directly and you could see just how gray and not black it was; it just looked horribly washed out to me. Not sure why they didn't just do 4/4S style true black? Needless to say, I bought silver again.

Thinking about my next phone, I'd like to try space gray again for a change, but I'm sure I'll end up with silver again because it's just so nice and the black/space gray is just so generic. Also, I will never, ever buy gold.

I would go back to a white iPhone. The dark bezels on the Space Grey iPhone drive me nuts with fingerprints and dust. It was more difficult to see these on a white iPhone. I'd go back to that. Am I unhappy with my Space Grey? Nope. Black is a beautiful color for an iPhone and many other things. My laptop and iPad are space grey. My mouse is space grey. I prefer the color black for everything if I can.
