my primary phone is iphone 4s. i tried lumia 800 for my secondary phone, i like the smoothnes of windows 7. really comparable with iOS, but the lack of apps made me sold it and wen to buy a galaxy s2 for my secondary.

Well I have my iPhone 4S, but in the past 12 months or such I've had a

Blackberry Torch 9860, Bold 9900, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE, Samsung Galaxy S2, Nokia N9, Nokia Lumia 800, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and finally a HTC One X

In regards to

Call quality & Reception
- best of the bunch was the bold 9900 without a shadow of doubt.

Social features & integration to OS Nokia N9, followed behind by the Lumia 800.

Problems with battery life All the android handsets I've had never seem to last generally 12 hours, or will at least have unpredictable battery life. Once I got 24 hours on my Sensation XE, the next day not using it - it lasted only 9 ? No rhyme or reason.

Best Camera HTC One X - best camera other than the iPhone 4S

Most dissapointing camera N9 & Lumia 800 - because nokia have a reputation for good camera's and this is a Carl Zeis lens, and yet photo's were generally poor. Worse than the BB Bold 9900.

Most bugs before I got rid of it the BB Torch 9860 and the Galaxy Nexus for different reasons. The Galaxy nexus was unusable for calls for the first month due to the 2G volume issues. Made the phone pretty much redundant for me.

If I was to pick just one phone from all the ones I've had - other than the iPhone 4S - it would be the HTC One X

Thanks for this break down, I'm going to head to AT&T today and take a look at the One and the Lumia

I recently was issued a blackberry 9900 for work but can't use data (twitter, facebook, etc) so I'm stuck with two phones. The 9900 is sleek, responsive, and I'll admit that I like having the physical keyboard again... but it definitely doesn't replace my 4S.

I wouldn't mine going for the Nokia Lumia. I had the Samsung Focus, liked it a lot until it went swimming in the Bahamas.

Same for me, I hate Android, had them, disliked them, and never going back.

If I had to have two, one would be my 4S for personal use and since I work in IT, I would go with the Lumina or HTC version with windows mobile 7.5 or wait for mobile 8

I have two phones:

1. iPhone 4
2. Nokia 3310 (still have on pay as you go - use it when on hiking, canoeing and climbing holidays - my emergency companion)

I carry a separate phone for my job, so I have two phones. I use an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 4. Before the 4S came out I used a 4 and a 3GS. Before using the 3GS as a secondary phone I used a cheap Nokia phone for my second line. (And before the iPhone I used two of the same cheap Nokia phone)
I like having two iPhones. I can use them a lot and not worry about the battery as much. Also I can have the same apps on each. One has an unlimited plan, and the other I can use for tethering devices like my iPad.

I have a 4S and Razr now.

So I'd wait and get the new iPhone and s3.

A couple more generations of windows phones and I'll probably jump ship and go that route. They already have that underdog status that attracted me to apple, but nothing is changing here and for a tech nerd like myself it's getting very boring.

As long as one of the phones could be an iPhone then my second phone would be any dumb-phone. Just for making call and super long battery life.

I would sell the 2nd phone to get more money. I'd rather have money in my pocket than a 2nd phone.

Otherwise the One S will do. Although I wouldn't mind a 4.7-5" iphone 5. It's all about the screen.

If you had to have two phones and one is obviously an iPhone, would your other phone be a Android or a windows phone?

I have an iPhone as my personal phone and my work is giving us the option on what phone they will supply us with. I really don't want to carry two iPhones so I wanted to see which of the two I should go with?

Thanks for your comments

I have 2 phones...an iPhone 4S and a Lumia 900, and I absolutely love the lumia and windows phone. Particularly considering you're using it as your work phone, I'd go with that. The office integration is great, especially with sharepoint and skydive. You don't need lots of games and customization on a work phone...you need it to be fast, reliable, and get the job done, which is what windows phone is great for. Many of the most used features of popular apps are built right in...including QR code scanning and music tagging (not that the song tagging is really work related!), all accessible right from the search menu.

Not to mention that many large companies still won't move to android...it's not secure enough for them yet, and since you're using this for business purposes, you should be conscious of that.

It really wouldn't be appropriate to sell a phone your company gives you. They want him (or her, I guess it wasn't specified) to have a second line for work use only (many companies prefer you keep your personal calls on a second line these days), so selling it isn't an option

Well, Android I guess. For now. Not that I like Android that much, but it's more customizable and more mature (I think, haven't tried a windows phone in person tbh) than wp7. And I think the HTC One X is a pretty cool phone, although a little big for convenience. But it would probably the phone I would get.

I'm satisfied with my current phones.

This is definitely more along the lines of what I have. Had to give up my 3310 when the battery died every half hour, but I still have a (somewhat newer) brick of a Nokia that's great for hiking etc., and my iPhone for the rest. Fills my varying phone needs quite adequately. :)

Though I suspect that's not what the OP wants at all, since one phone is a work phone, and you'd probably rather have functionality than a dinosaur when there's bosses and paychecks involved... ;)
