13PM/256 to 16PM/512.

Top reasons to upgrade for me are:

* I want the new camera and photography features (including camera control) introduced since the 13PM.
* Apple Intelligence could be interesting, at least some of the things.
* USB-C, so no more lightning cables around the house.
* Running out of space - I keep my photos locally for quick access to anything.

14PM to 16 PM

Three main reasons: USB-C (one of my last Apple products to transition), lighter device compared to the stainless steel iPhone 14 Pro Max, and future proofing with Apple intelligence (not sure it's something I need right now, but might be useful as new features roll out).

It's been a few years since I changed my iPhone every two years. Now I think I will keep this one for 3 or maybe 4 years. Couldn't care less about the camera upgrades, I only want a lightweight device with USB-C and good battery life.

Finally upgrading from my trusty 13 Pro Max. My main reasons for upgrading:

1. USB-C

2. AI capabilities

3. Camera improvements & Camera control button (even though the 13 Pro camera is still good, I just had a baby and want to capture these precious moments in the highest quality with quick access).

15PM. I want a shiny new toy, it makes the brain chemicals do the good thing. I also use my phone as a camera and not a phone 99% of the time, I also love the wide angle lens so I’m glad for the spec bump there, and I’m very excited for the camera control button so I can easily zoom in and out while filming skateboarding. I’m not a professional so I don’t need to have a professional camera, my phone is always perfect for my needs. My Mac is collecting dust because my life is run on my phone.

I also have yearly upgrades from T-Mobile, so I pay monthly to pay off half of the phone and then send it in for the new one. I can never afford to drop $1200 on a phone especially if I know I’m only keeping it for a year.

Congratulations! My kids are a huge motivator for me to have the best possible camera in my phone.

I'm upgrading to a 16 Pro Max 512gb from a 14 Pro Max 256gb... I'm sure the Apple Intelligence will be neat, perhaps handy even, but my number 1 reason for upgrading is the camera. My friend's 15 Pro puts my pictures/videos to shame.
I’m getting a 16 Pro Max in order to give my 15 Pro Max to my wife, whose 11 Pro Max is showing its age.

I am upgrading to the 16PM 1TB from my 13PM 1TB.

Reasons:

1. My sim only deal with Three (UK Carrier) was up in October.

2. My 13PM battery health is at 86% and I’m having to use a MagSafe wireless battery pack pretty much every day to keep it charged. Some days it’ll go from 100% to 30 or 40% in just a handful of hours with regular use.

3. The phone does not correctly charge via the lightning cable. Charging port is faulty. There is also a slight crack in the screen but not very noticeable. When I use the cable, it recognises it but the battery % does not increase when it’s plugged in, so it only charges wirelessly which is a pain. The MagSafe pack can also become hot when it’s been charging for a while to the point where I need to take it off for it to cool down. Not comfortable to hold or use the phone when it’s hot.

To replace the battery and charging port I’d be looking at probably £90-£100 for the battery and perhaps £150 - £200 for the charging port, so it would probably cost me around £200-£300 to fix the phone to the point where I could use it for another year. The phone itself is worth £500 ish.

Other than that the 13PM works perfectly. So it’ll be my backup phone now.

So I’ve got the 16PM on a 2 year contract, unlimited everything for £81 a month (£84 upfront payment). Not too bad. Cheapest deal I could find from all the UK carriers. EE, Sky and Vodafone were all over £100 per month for the same deal.

Upgrading from 15 Plus to 16 Pro Max

Upgrading because im on iPhone Upgrade Program and it would be dumb not to, plus I ended up with a Plus last year instead of a Pro Max because of a dumb purchasing decision. If I owned my phone outright and I was on a 15 Pro Max I probably wouldnt upgrade, but with iUP and being an ex-Apple employee im sucked in to it all.

14PM->16PM because it's been 2 years and I'm getting a decent trade in deal. Not really any major upgrades, but I could use a battery update. My router is 6e, so I'll finally make use of that too. Won't mind consolidating chargers a bit, but can't get rid of lighting yet anyway due to AirPods.

My wife is upgrading from a 15 Pro Max. A perfectly good phone that works just fine that for whatever reason she saw the new one has gold and it was like hey we need that. Sure why not spend $1200 just for a new color of a phone that you’re gonna slap a case on anyway?

Upgraded to 16PM 1TB from a 15PM 1TB. I wouldn't upgrade every year except it's a birthday present to myself and I hand my old phones down to a variety a family members. I think the upgrade I'm most excited about this year besides Apple Intelligence, which maybe be a hit or a miss, is a bigger screen and improved battery life.
