14 Pro to 16 Pro Max, 256GB on both. Upgrading for more RAM and I’m tired of the 4PM top off on the battery.
Exactly my thinking too. I keep good care of my phone and can sell it a year later as almost new because it was always in case plus screen protector. Sooo I only pay the rest difference to the new phone. Its more affordable for me to update yearly than waiting each 3 years. Its easier to pay (for example) $500 yearly than $1500 each 3 years.
My wife is upgrading from a 15 Pro Max. A perfectly good phone that works just fine that for whatever reason she saw the new one has gold and it was like hey we need that. Sure why not spend $1200 just for a new color of a phone that you’re gonna slap a case on anyway?
First time she asked if she could upgrade i said no. And i could already tell by the look on her face she knew my no would eventually turn into a yes. Such an evil look on her face. An apple ad came on showing the gold iphone and she’s over there “aww…i bet all the other girls are gonna get the gold iphone and look so fancy and be matching with their new gold Apple Watches”. So naturally, she’s getting a new Apple Watch as wellHey, happy wife happy life bro. It’s a small price to pay to make marriage work. 😁
Upgrading from a 12 Pro to a 16 PM. Massive camera improvement, and Bluetooth has become a little wonky on my 12 Pro.I'm upgrading to a 16 Pro Max 512gb from a 14 Pro Max 256gb... I'm sure the Apple Intelligence will be neat, perhaps handy even, but my number 1 reason for upgrading is the camera. My friend's 15 Pro puts my pictures/videos to shame.

And she can also get the clear case from Apple to display it!First time she asked if she could upgrade i said no. expensive, but cheaper than marriage counseling lol
I’m upgrading from 13 Pro 256 to 16 Pro 256. Mainly for better camerasI'm upgrading to a 16 Pro Max 512gb from a 14 Pro Max 256gb... That's an amazing deal for a 1TB 16 Pro Max. You must have gotten 20% discount or something right because EE is very expensive without discount.I am upgrading to the 16PM 1TB from my 13PM 1TB.
Reasons:
1. My sim only deal with Three (UK Carrier) was up in October.
2. My 13PM battery health is at 86% and I’m having to use a MagSafe wireless battery pack pretty much every day to keep it charged. Some days it’ll go from 100% to 30 or 40% in just a handful of hours with regular use.
3. The phone does not correctly charge via the lightning cable. Charging port is faulty. There is also a slight crack in the screen but not very noticeable. When I use the cable, it recognises it but the battery % does not increase when it’s plugged in, so it only charges wirelessly which is a pain. The MagSafe pack can also become hot when it’s been charging for a while to the point where I need to take it off for it to cool down. Not comfortable to hold or use the phone when it’s hot.
To replace the battery and charging port I’d be looking at probably £90-£100 for the battery and perhaps £150 - £200 for the charging port, so it would probably cost me around £200-£300 to fix the phone to the point where I could use it for another year. The phone itself is worth £500 ish.
Other than that the 13PM works perfectly. So it’ll be my backup phone now.
So I’ve got the 16PM on a 2 year contract, unlimited everything for £81 a month (£84 upfront payment). Not too bad. Cheapest deal I could find from all the UK carriers. EE, Sky and Vodafone were all over £100 per month for the same deal.
