Yeah...I wouldn't step into Walmart if you paid me. Maybe the one in my town is a little more run down than most but it is a scary, smelly, ugly place.

I think it has a lot to do with where you live. In Myrtle Beach and the Seattle/Tacoma area, the Wal Marts are very nice. In the Raleigh area, where I currently live, they are just as you describe. There is one nice one 25 minutes from my house, but it has only been opened a short time.

So I was inspired or just tried of waiting and took the advise of another poster and went to Walmart on Harbor blvd in Santa Ana Ca. I was able to buy the last of 2 16GB iphone 4's they got in yesterday. 3 people had either called or walked up to asked about the phone while I was checking out. now to cancel my priority @ the SouthCoast Plaza apple store so the people behind me can move up.

For St. Louis area: I was at the Granite City, IL. Walmart today and they have 3 16g iPhone 4's in stock. Their 'stock' is in a glass case next to the register in electronics....

Thanks

+ rep for you.

Read this post. Called Walmart. They had 6 left. Drove down and grabbed one no problem. Thanks.

Wow, such compassion for human right AND bigotry in one package. You're quite the catch.

it's different if a person has a choice to be a certain way.. sweatshop workers can't just quit their job and walk away, but ignorant people can choose to better themselves

Awesome

+5

I followed this thread and started calling all the walmarts near my location. My 9th store had 2 in stock and drove down there immediately to get it.

I ordered from Apple already and I'm on the priority list to get one. So all of you trying to get an iphone, call up the stores other than apple and ATT and see if they have any in stock. Am sure you will get lucky.

Happy times :) good luck!!!

What do you mean they can't walk away? People quit their jobs at Foxconn every day. The turnover rate there is huge. (The quote I read was 5%, which is 20k people, a month.)
