A lot of gaps in-between mini LEDs so understandably not as good as OLED for deep black. Also curious what the latency is? On 120Hz OLED the moving UFO is so sharp like it's stationary while on my M1 MBA it's kind of blurry.

"quite a bit heavier."
This is the part that’s been giving me pause. I’d love one of these, but always felt the current 12.9” is just a touch too heavy— amazing for what it is, but heavy for how I’d want to use it. I’m not sure I’m keen to make it heavier.

Maybe some have slightly worse blooming or others are slightly more sensitive to it
Or fixated on it like people are about the notch, or those people who examine every square micron of their device and complain about the slightest blemish being unacceptable in a $x device, for some value of x.

What? No, the higher brightness is what makes it more noticeable. It’s bleed from the backlights. Turning brightness down makes it go away…
Go to Timer in pitch black room with dark mode on. I’m not saying in these scenarios it‘s an issue, but the transition between lit and unlit zones (left and right bubbles in Timer) is more visible at low brightness (in dark environment), as higher brightness naturally blinds you so the screen becomes more uniform.

Putting an M1 chip in an iPad is like putting a formula One engine in a Volkswagen beetle.
Only if the car was in the World Solar Challenge.
(not for the solar part. It's for the ultra low power required part).

"iFixit shared a YouTube video opening up the ‌iPad Pro‌, and the full teardown with photos, writeup, and repairability score isn't yet available, but it should be coming in the future."

Do we really have to know the negative ?

Other than making my point I’m not getting dragged into another blooming thread. Pun intended.
Which means you probably don’t have one and are speculating like the rest of the haters/defenders.

Im not arguing. I’m providing my direct experience with the device.

Oh, does it mean that? Thanks for clarifying. I never know what I’m supposed to mean or not so I’m glad you can tell me.

I hate how people intentionally lie, and photoshop images to make them look nothing like reality. It sickens me honestly.

Most of the very negative images are due to non-professional equipment's limitations enhancing the blooming instead of active photoshopping. To properly represent the actual effect it requires more than e.g. a standard smartphone camera.

E.g. this analysis uses a professional camera and shows at some point a comparison of the same white text on black background taken from a smartphone camera and the professional one... the difference is huge:
