So they say that the iPhone 7 has a 1/10 repairability score and basically you can't repair it.

How can they sell a $10 ratchet for $20?

Hypocrites.

Can you even repair iPhones now?
Surprisingly, they're quite easy to repair.

I have had every iphone starting with the 3GS. Total repairs required - ZERO.

And yet, I would love to accept this stocking stuffer just so I can take an old phone apart and tinker. 😀

No Tri-point bits though 🙁 Frankly I have all the phillips, flat, and Torx bits I need, and screwdriver handles. But the only way to get the specialty bits, is to buy the whole 64-piece or 128-piece kits.

iPhones are actually some of the easiest to repair phones out there. Clearly the MacBook team didn't get the memo though.

Maybe the previous iPhones were. But with the IP67X rating on the iPhone 7, includes a lot more adehesive, which makes it more difficult. I wouldn't chance it, unless you absolutely Were confident on what you were doing.

Depends on the person. I would rather live without water resistance than live with a broken screen or poor battery. That being said I always recommend letting Apple do it if it is still under warranty.

Agreed. I could care less about the water resistance. I don't shower with my iPhone (Which, apparently a large majority of forum members do? Weird) or get my iPhone near water. I see so many iPhone users with cracked screens, that would annoy me immensely.
