We are just tired of people coming here who probably don’t even buy Apple stuff trying to dictate our products. Every change has consequences. The loudest crowd initially wanted to force Apple to do removable batteries. The exact type of battery that had been the failure point of smartphones prior to iPhone.

Now try to find one with one.

There is a reason for every design consideration and concerns that go beyond a few hundred or even thousand people worldwide who want to be able to do their own repairs.

So, if you don’t like how Apple designs their products, please buy Android so the other 2 billion aren’t force into what selfish people want when they have other Options to spend their money on. We like OUR APPLE.

Been like this for all of the iPhones since TouchID. Neither unlock mechanism worked until the authentic display was calibrated with Apple’s software. Otherwise TouchID or FaceID won’t function.
It sucks, I agree, but this isn’t news.
Touch ID and the display are one module. To replace the display, you had to remove the Touch ID sensor and cable.

The display on iPhone 13 is completely independent of TrueDepth camera system. The display module only acts as a cover lens for Face ID cameras. You don’t need to disconnect any Face ID cables.

It’s like replacing the windshield to find out the radio no longer works.

Just stop buying dang iPhones then. Speak with your wallet, If something is inexcusable stop using the dang product.

All of a sudden Right to Repair becomes a lower priority when I tell people to just buy an Android.

I'm an iPhone user, accidents happen, yes, but I just get protection plans for my items, sure replacing items is an okay solution, but from what I've seen Dropping a phone and damaging the screen sometimes doesn't fix any underlying connection failures there are.

Also, Right to Repair should pass, then iPhone will not only be repairable but supported in software for longer than 6 months like android. (Sarcasm, more like a year and a half.)

Sir I work at battery plus and fix phones it is actually quite cheaper to fix iPhones besides the brand new ones than it is to fix a Samsung.
