iWeb is a consumer level program. It's made for people who don't really understand coding (and probably don't want to). So, I wouldn't hold your breath for any kind of direct coding ability.

For the rest of us, we can use iWeb and simply add our own coding after exporting. Yeah, it can be a pain, but that's the price we pay for wanting to do pro-sumer stuff with a consumer program... ;)

Yes but you need to be able to allow basic code additions e.g. google site search without all that tedious post page editing. Or Apple needs to add site search tools etc to the system but this gets complicated when ftp'ing to non .mac servers.

I want iWeb to allow the ability to FTM modifications only to your server. Currently it takes me over 1 hour to change my site as I need to republish all and then upload all again. The iWeb ability to rebuild graphics etc means that I cannot take the chance to only publish new content to the server.

I'd like to see them make the keywords in iPhoto a bit more advanced. After coming from a windows background and using Adobe Photoshop Elements tagging system I find the keywords a bit primitive. More transitions and and templates in iMovie and more templates for iWeb would also be nice.

Thanks!

On January 9th 2007 Apple will release iLife 07 and you will see why 2007 wont be like 2007!

Thanks For Posting your Suggestions Hopefully Apple will implement them!

If you have anything you would like to see in The next release of iLife then please post them! :) :)

Thanks,
menziep

Might I add in addition to your posting what you want perhaps take a trip by my thread I started dedicated to how you, if it was you up on stage instead of Steve, would introduce your favorite new product at MWSF 2007.

potentially very stupid question but does this mean that ilife 07 is out on 9th Jan?? If not when is it out??

I was planning on waiting until t came out until i get my black macbook (drewl) :D

There should be a lower priced, upgrade version.

I'm not sure if it can all ready do this, but perhaps iPhoto should take photos like Photo Booth? (Might not be any point because Leopard will include Photo Booth, so you will be able to take photos anyway.)

Does anyone know what Apple's policy regarding upgrades to iLife 07 is?

I would like to buy iLife for my G5 before the end of the year, but hate to throw away money on a suite that will most likely be obsolete within 2 weeks.

Is it a 10 day grace period? Since the Keynote is January 9th, that would make the 30th the "buy date."

reply to old questions

iweb seems ok to me, yeah there is room for improvement but it is nice and basic/easy to use.

on the photo pages side of this somewhat old discussion here is my site;

http://web.mac.com/j4k/iWeb/Site/Travel.html

not all the links work - yet! Let me know what you think.

And by far the best move for iPhoto will be lossless editing which will also reduce storage space. Most of my photos need or look better with some sort of editing.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2007

I think they should be a basic drawing aplication, infact, that should be something built into OSX. Perhaps full screen editing in iMovie? (I've just looked at it in iPhoto, it looks promising!)

iMovie and Backdrops

I want Photoboot Effects (all of them), and the Backdrop feature that's in Leoaprds iChat in iMovie - that would be amazing for making movies and really open up a new field of movie-making.

Releases...

Ok, stupid question....

1) How much will iLife 07 cost?

2) Will the upgrades in iLife 07 be included in the release of Leopard?

I just bought iLife 06 and I wanna know if I should return it. If iLife 07 is included in Leopard I'll open 06 but if its not I'll probably return it and buy 07.

Thanks for any help.

1. Not sure about cost of 07. But should be close to iLife06 cost
2. It will not be bundled with Leopard.

I suggest return it and wait for 07 to come out in the next couple days

I would like to seem them build the iLife Media browser into iWeb the same way they did in GarageBand, it just seems cleaner then the floating panel. This would also be nice in Pages and Keynote.

Yes, I am tired of floating panels everywhere, especially the inspector. It gets very annoying after awhile.
