Only the watch edition will be exclusively sold online. The rest will be available on the 24th as the main page on the website indicates.

good luck with that

Ill be sure to bump this thread as it gets closer to the 24th. I am not sure why you think this is a new situation in which Apple exclusively sells a product online.

----------

One thread wasn't enough for you?

The other thread was mentioning about Apple's sales strategy. This one is for people to discuss going to stand in line etc to pick up on launch day. Why do you feel the need to troll?

thats def NOT happening, they are only selling online...hate to burst the BUBBLE OF HOPE

Post your link to the facts? otherwise its your opinion versus Apples history of product launches. Can you identify a single Apple product launch in the past decade that has been online exclusive?

CLEARLY STATES "
Because supplies are limited, all Apple Watch orders must be placed online. Apple does not plan to accept walk-in orders of the Apple Watch in the early weeks after launch, so customers planning to purchase a watch should order as soon as possible.

Have you seen Apple have an exclusively online product launch? It doesn't matter if it's a wearable or not. They make multiple versions of every product. In fact, its a lot harder to make multiple versions of iPads and computers than it is to make 2 different watches with different watch bands (not counting luxury versions).

This time they are not. When I ordered online it said "personal pickup is unavailable". They are making everyone ship it to their homes this time.

Apple originally planned to have store pickup, but they changed it at the last minute. It is what it is I guess.

You used a link from a 3rd party news source known for rumors lol. Try to post a link exclusively to Apple if you want to be taken seriously.

Or because they don't want to have a cluster of hundreds of preorder people showing up in store to get their watch when other people are waiting in line. It makes a lot more sense to do it this way. That way people in line won't get mad thinking they are getting skipped.

YOU will see.... like i said, good luck with that, better yet, go ask someone in apple chat, EVERYONE BUT you knows they are only selling online bc supplies are limited

Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts has issued an internal memo to retail employees that encourages store staff to direct customers to the Apple Online Store to purchase the Apple Watch and new MacBook, according to Business Insider. Ahrendts says that this is "a significant change in mindset" for Apple, noting that the long lines that typically form on Apple product launch days "are over" at retail stores.
"Get in line online

The days of waiting in line and crossing fingers for a product are over for our customers. The Apple Store app and our online store make it much easier to purchase Apple Watch and the new MacBook. Customers will know exactly when and where their product arrives.

This is a significant change in mindset, and we need your help to make it happen. Tell your customers we have more availability online, and show them how easy it is to order. You'll make their day."
Apple previously outlined changes to its so-called "Customer Journey" in leaked training documents obtained by MacRumors last month, emphasizing that retail employees will be focused on "reducing wait times and physical lines" and ensuring that customers get the Apple Watch that is best for them.

badazz, OP already rejected that quote when I tried it in his other nonsensical troll thread.

I just don't understand how you are so certain you will get in store pickup ON the 24th. People seem to be basing that on getting the info from calling apple a few weeks ago or asking Apple employees directly. Do you realize that those people were probably guessing because that is how Apple did it for other things in the past? Apple made it very clear this week that in store pickup would NOT be available at first. EVERYTHING today seems to confirm that.

SO if you want to hold to that fantasy of waltzing into an Apple store on the 24th to pick up a watch, good luck.

if you want a Watch before July you seriously need to put a order in now. Good luck with trying to get it at the store... Your options will be Ebay, Craigslist or waiting till the summer
