I would think it should work well. I'd certainly give it a try. You don't peel off the sticky side of the protector until you have the hinge tape and the screen protector in place.

With these slimmer glass screen shields yes, but I only have experience with iloome. I had the spigen glass t slim and when i took that off cause the edge chipped it ended up cracking.
I actually did remove and re-install this on my current phone, because the first installation got messed up. I used a safety pin to carefully lift up one corner, but I accidentally chipped the glass 🙁 I still reinstalled in anyways, and it looks ok. The chip is not that noticeable, but at least the second installation went on almost perfectly. The iloome flex is very flexible, but is definitely made of glass. Very thin, chip-able glass 😉
I've been using the hinge method for years on plastic screen protectors. From PS ones to spigen and now on spigen and mime glass ones. Wouldn't do it any other way.
A bit off topic but I've used the method on iPads as well. Works perfectly.

Also I had a single piece of dust, so I lift it on a corner with tape and used another to remove the dust. No issues so far to note with the screen protector. Perfect so far, no scratches or anything. This is my favor screen protector so far. Esp for the price you can't go wrong.

I just got this yesterday...same day as my unlocked iPhone 5S. Perfect timing and yes, I really like this (having used Spigen's different versions of their glasT, I prefer iLoome).
It is thin enough that it does not affect the fingerprint button function at all.

The spigen products like the GLAS.tR SLIM doesn't give me problems when using the Fingerprint sensor... I'm curious about this product though..
Would you say worth the price? cause i've dropped my 5 before and I had the spigen glas.t SLIM and that thing cracked like crazy but my iphone is fine.
I don't know how this'll handle drops.
Hmm, don't know how it will handle drops...hope i don't have to find out. But, even the slimmest spigen is too thick for me around the home/fingerprint sensor button. This one feels just right.
got mine the other day and installed it last night..hinge method worked great! i'm really happy with it and as everyone else has said,you can barely tell it's there..i hardly felt the roughness,it felt smooth from the start..
i have one problem though 🙁 after i applied it, i noticed on the top left corner,it looks like that part didn't stick..but it did..it's hard to tell from the pics but it's like a line/crease that runs across..i contacted iloome this morning and they got back with me right away..they wanted to see pictures of it before i can find out what they will do..hopefully they can replace it...aside from my slight problem,i highly recommend them...

I picked two of these up (for $17 I had to get 2). I was a huge Pure fan, but using home button stickers has been a disaster. I installed with the hinge method easily, and while rough at first, the screen has smoothed out over the last 20 minutes or so as they promised.
I really like it. It feels just as nice as the Pure, is much thinner, and I can use it without a home button sticker on my 5. I even went back to my Air Jacket because I am digging the thinness.
We'll see about scratches, but overall, very nice.

lay a heavy book on it (dictionary) over night. Thats what i did when i had air bubble with my old spigen and in the morning, it got the air bubbles out.
It looks like an air bubble but it's not..hard to show it in the picture but it's a line/crease..at first I thought it was an air bubble and applied pressure to it but then realized that it wasn't..
I assume this doesn't have the rounded edges so the question is, with how thin this is, do you feel the "sharp" edge when using w/o a phone case or no? I used a Spigen Glas.T slim and hated how sharp the edge felt. I am currently using a Spigen Glas.TR (not slim or nano), but it's a little thick. I am intrigued by iLoome's shields.
After a few days, I love this thing! Nobody can tell it's there (unlike the bulky and obvious BG pure)

Well assuming it lands face first it should crack the iloome and your iphone screen should be fine. But if it landed on a corner/screen(assuming you don't use a case on your phone, AKA going nude) I don't know as this screen protector is thin unlike the spigen glas.t .4 thickness which might have an advantage from a corner/screen drop.
So if the phone landed screen first you should be fine. Corner/screen drops probably not so much depending but a lot of users have their phone in a case so the case should protect it.
I mean this screen protector is so thin it's like the thin non-glass ones but made with real glass. It'll protect your iPhones screen the best it can until you drop it then it shatters, replace it then move on.

Ordered - got an email saying shipping was going to be delayed a day or so because they had so many orders - probably because of threads like this their business is going through the roof - I'm certainly willing to wait another day for a quality product.
Ordered yesterday based on all the positive feedback here (thanks everyone for your helpful posts!)
Still have 3 questions:
1) Is this product really 100% glass - or is it some other material (ie: plastic?) with a glass coating?
I have emailed the company with that query as well....
2) For those who have already applied the screen protector:
Are you able to do so BEFORE configuring your fingerprint ID? I'd prefer to get the screen protector on before doing any setting up or configuring of phone.
3) Re: Steamy shower application......😕 Doesn't moisture just get trapped beneath the screen protector.....or am I missing something.....

I don't think that's for glass protectors, should be only for the wet-application protectors.

So back to my 3 original question(s)....(see above post)
1. 1 glass layer. 1 adhesive layer, which I believe is silicon.
2. I don't have a 5S. I would believe you could setup the fingerprint scanner before or after, as long as you have room for your skin to make contact with the metal ring. This screen protector should not interfere with that.
3. It's possible for some slight condensation to be on the screen before you apply the screen protector. This shouldn't be a problem, because it will eventually evaporate.
1. I'll skip the first question as I believe only iloome could answer that one...
2. I installed on two different 5s'; there is no impact on TouchID performance. I installed on my phone with TouchID already configured with a few prints, and then on my wife's phone - straight out of the box with nothing configured. TouchID configuration was not affected at all.
3. Steamy shower - been doing this since putting on Screen Protectors back when I had my Palm Treo, generally just running hot water in a sink will do the trick. No, moisture isn't trapped underneath - just have enough humidity to keep the dust under control.
