At home
......to a lovely little boy. Born 15/3/06 (3/15/06) weight 3.515kg -7lb 10oz - I think.

He is pink (but sometimes red) - Doctor Q asked about colouration.

On the whole a very good boy but not when he gets wind - I seem to me the wind relieving God and so burp him on a regular basis.

My poor wife had a 2 minute emergency c-section under general anesthetic and is therefore very sore.

I learnt many things the morning my son came into this world - some I probably will never be able to describe.

What an amazing and yet terrifying experience.

His name is Bora which means "Hurricane" or "The wind that brings rain" depending which book you translate from.

Surprise surprise thats his photo on my 'tar. (My TAR changed too)

Congrats Chappers - welcome to a new, exciting, frustrating, tiring, amazing, exhilarating time of your life! Having a child changes you and your perspective on things, so I'm sure this will be only the beginning of an amazing ride for you. :)

i was going to resist but.................no.... here is a shot of him posing for his passport photo.

just incase... I'm sure you can get good prices for them babies on eBay you know. ;)

congrats all the same though. ;) :)

Congrats, and say goodbye to your old life [the one where you slept and then went out and did fun things for you].
A seriously beautiful baby there with a nicely shaped dome, which is fairly common for C-section's, as the head doesn't get all squeezed and distorted during the [technical jargon alert:] "popping out" phase of the process.
Great name, too. :)

You've never been as happy and tired in your life as you are about to spend the next several months/years being. Enjoy!

Congrats! I too love the name.

Remember to keep the receipt. We lost ours and couldn't return them, when they both started acting up.
That's what happens when you don't get enough sleep, you start to forget where you left things!

Chappers: What are you doing here. This is a perfect opportunity to catch 40 winks, you're going to need it over the next few months. The first few weeks are easy compared to what's coming. ;)

So many congrats to you, your wife and your new one. So glad all went well. Wasn't it all just the BEST experience ever? England awaits.
So many best wishes to you.

Thats one of the cuter babies I have seen lately.

I swear all babies come out looking like the Seinfeld episode "You gotta come look at the baby!"... you know what I mean.

congrats!

ps: coincidentally today I learned a best friends wife is pregnant...first married (and only, in our "group") first baby, I hope I die before I finish that race....but thats just me.

Congrats Chappers!

He's so "tiny"

I remember when "Eevee" (short for Evelyn) was born at 12 am on May 1st. We were worried that my wife needed a C-section since Eevee wouldn' t come out. Thank goodness this was not necessary...

You probably been waking up every 2-3 hrs during the night to help feed him and change his diaper. After a month, he'll sleep through the night. You probably knew this already...;)

Congrats again to fatherhood! And post more pics please...

Actually, most babies come out having a "cone head" like the 70s Saturday Night Live Show. :D

But it usually goes away (whew!)

That's what makes many C-Section kids look "different" than other newborns they lack "coneness."
