Well congrats to all that will be parents soon.
As for my experience - most of the bad things like sleepless nights etc didn't happen. I'm an active father - I stayed at home to care for him, change nappies/diapers, feed and wash him.
The only real time of grief was at 9 month old with a meningitis scare that was terrifying. Luckily he was OK but he was very ill. I saw things in hospital in the children's ward that broke my heart. I say thank you everyday now.
I'm glad I reminded a few of you of 4 years ago and I remain amazed how quickly the time has passed.
