Well congrats to all that will be parents soon.

As for my experience - most of the bad things like sleepless nights etc didn't happen. I'm an active father - I stayed at home to care for him, change nappies/diapers, feed and wash him.

The only real time of grief was at 9 month old with a meningitis scare that was terrifying. Luckily he was OK but he was very ill. I saw things in hospital in the children's ward that broke my heart. I say thank you everyday now.

I'm glad I reminded a few of you of 4 years ago and I remain amazed how quickly the time has passed.

congrats man! excited?

Very excited. It's almost surreal. I can't wait for that little bugger to pop out!

That's a good looking boy congrats...my baby boy will be born in May :D

-J.-

Congrats! We can race our babies at the baby races......

Well congrats to all that will be parents soon.

That's horrible, I'm glad that everything turned out well.

Wouldn't it be great if every parent had to take a field trip visit to a children's hospital to see all the bad stuff? Some parents don't realize how good they have it with their kids......

haha i bet! im only 20, but tbh i cant wait to have kids. not now though! thats for sure, i want a life before i have them lol. but yea quietly excited.

Time really flies, it seems as yesterday was 2006...
i cant believe it either. it still feels like 2004 to me (where were the olypmics at that year?)

Ah! There's so much more to look forward to! My youngest son is 2 years and 2 days older than yours and is just about to head into the first grade. He's going through this strange regress at the moment, trying to be a few years younger than he is. My oldest is 9 and can't wait to be about 15 . BUT, while the older one only cares about sport, the younger one is interested in girls (in a very cute way, of course) :D.

Great photos, Chappers!

Crying, fussiness, diapers, sleepless nights, scary illnesses... it's all part of the deal. But I wouldn't trade it for anything and it sounds like you wouldn't either.

When things aren't going perfectly you are earning your Dad stripes. When things are going great it's the best feeling in the world. IMHO.

Well that's it. Dunno when I might update this again. Maybe in another 4 years.

Hope you others out there who will be parents soon will also post your little ones.
