I usually badmouth jailbreaking because it slows the phone down a little bit, but I'm going to keep it simple and only install a couple of things. I don't want my iPhone getting stuffed up with too much bloat. So far everything seems to be running as normal.
The only problem is once you start, you just can't stop. Backgrounder is just the gateway drug in all that is jailbreaking. MMS, SMS with landscape, themes, Iphone Modem tethering, and all the really cool dock, and flow apps. The downside is slowing a bit, but so worth it in cool factor. And really isn't that was the iphone is for? EYE CANDY+FUNCTIONALITY= JAILBREAK FTW
I have to say... I'm enjoying Status Notifier. When I get a random vibration and I just press the power button to see if there's a mail icon in my status bar. That's really cool! How hard would it be for Apple to put the same thing there?
I know that!
AH HA HA HA HA!
You never know with some of the posts on here![]()
The iPhone is already the laggiest phone UI I have ever used ( coming from a long history of sony errricson phones)
I would never do anything to make the UI even slower.
Simple question here for you jailbreakers.... If you jailbreak your phone, can you still use legit apps? I don't want to d/l any pirated apps, but just want to add functionality that the iPhone is missing... IE better notifications when the phone is locked.
Ummmmm no, why don't you pay attention... Go back to the qrigibal quoted l that I quoted and you will see what I mean.
I don't bad mouth jail breakers but its not something I condone or do myself. I just wonder if will cause problems down the road, especially with support.
