Get hammered! Lol...

Thats my roommates, they get home from work by 5:30ish get bored within an hour and have a Beer Pong game going by 7, almost any day of the week.
Needless to say they've been going through a lot of Naddy Light.

Something I noticed today (I was at Uni checking out the halls) is that I can go to the toilet and still see my screen... Bluetooth keyboard = WIN!

So you sit on the toilet and put the keyboard on your lap? Gross! Washing your hands afterwards is one thing, but I can't even imagine the type of germs you get from this....

I take great enjoyment in showering. I don't generate much body heat, so I have to take a shower every morning to warm up. My muscles also knot up a lot, so hot showers feel really good. All the same, I sometimes get bored while shower. A couple years ago, I took up juggling in the shower. It is fantastic. Gives you something to do, and when you drop the balls, they don't roll anywhere far. Just let your family know so they don't think you're throwing a fit in the bathroom.

With all of these extra showers, are you cleaning the shower or is it festering while you're extra clean?

I noticed this semi-automatic shower cleaning mechanism you place on the shower wall and activate and it supposedly cleans while you do other things, such as checking MacRumors.

Your desk is probably dirtier than your bathroom.

It is funny, lately I've been both building a patio in the back yard and washing our (huge) fence by hand, and I've been showering less and less. I come inside and I either get on here, take a nap, or play some PS2 and then essentially an too tired to shower. Then I wake up and don't want to shower if I'm going to go get dirty again right after...

Of course I shower before I go out or so anything were people will actually see me, but still, it is a weired feeling because I am usually very clean and as of writing this I haven't showered in 4 days ( ). However, after I sleep at a friend's house or have a crazy night I will shower as many as 4 times a day...trying to wake up/not feel so sick, but I think thats pretty common.

Lets start this off by saying that I ALWAYS have a shower in the morning, if I'm in a house/hotel etc. Recently, I've become so bored at night that I have showers... I know, I know this isn't a bad thing but it is a little odd.

Previously, I had something to do - I was working, or my girlfriend would come round. Now, I've saved enough holidays from work etc that I'm off until mid-September when I go to Uni, and my girlfriend now works as a waitress.

There are only so many times you can check MR an hour and I frequent other boards as well, I even watch Digg...

So yeah, what do you think? Boredom = cleanliness?
Not odd. I get bored, I clean. Be it myself, my computer (aka virtual space) or my physical surroundings. But in the same sense, I feel a mental need to clean due to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, so I clean when I'm not bored either. At least you don't do this when you get bored.

My mother yells at me for taking three showers a day though...

put the powerbook on the toilet seat cover and lean over everytime i need to scroll or do something
Tried that once. I have to agree that it wors realy well. Now, if only I didn't find the bath so boring and uncomfortable - maybe I just need a bigger tub (I liked it better when I was a wee lad and it was like a swimming pool - that's what I need now)...

Yeah, but she has to be happy you clean up after yourself. ;)

Actually, no, she doesn't like it. Because I clean up after her too. She hates when she comes home and "the house looks like a museum" and there is NO clutter or... Anything to show people live there is out visible.

It's awfully hard to live with people who don't suffer from OCD. You don't know how many times a day I pick up and organize stuff people "leave around..."

Well, good for you. So long as you enjoy the showering and it doesn't get out of control, right on.

Enjoying the shower is one thing. There's nothing like a good relaxing shower or bath. I, however, hate the afterpart of drying off whenever I get wet. Not sure why, but I just hate drying off after any getting-wet scenario. It just feels like a chore more than anything--not to mention the chill factor you have to deal with when getting out of the water at the beach or pool or whatever. The hubby thinks I'm strange--and maybe I am--but that's just the way it is and most likely always will be. (Don't get me wrong--I shower daily. I just hate it.)

All I can say is if I were in the OP's shoes I'd find a non-wet activity to overcome my boredom. Like knitting/walking/making mosaics out of tiles/etc.
