I'm pretty PO'd at Apple with the whole Safari crashing issue. However once I saw jailbreak and stopped reading the message. You jailbreak something to your own peril.

Safari touch unresponsive?

I'm not quite having the exact same issue, but a similar one...

Just bought an ipad air (had a first gen before), and in general it's fine, pretty fast and speedy. But, my safari is COMPLETELY messed up! Doesn't really crash too much, but it's RIDICULOUSLY slow, especially for any touch based input, e.g. scrolling up and down, clicking links, typing text. 50% of the time I touch anything in safari, I have to wait at least 2 or 3 full seconds before the ipad does anything, even for simple things like scrolling...!! Anybody else experience this?

My ipad air is unmodified, happens on all websites, this only happens in safari (all other apps are fine, including other browsers like chrome). It's very frustrating, especially for a new purchase... I mean the browsing experience on the ipad air is FAR WORSE than it was on my ancient first gen ipad!! And yes I've tried closing the apps, rebooting, etc. Haven't erased all content and settings yet... hoping to avoid that... although I can use chrome, etc. for browsing.

Have any of you experienced anything similar?

It's strange how some have this issue and others don't. Yesterday I received my iPad Air and opened 6 tabs in Safari and two of those tabs used Disqus messaging. I zoomed and positioned each tab so I knew where I put it.

After the 6th tab I went to check each tab and not one reloaded. They were just where I left them and Safari didn't crash. I did see a springboard reboot once on an rMini I purchased from Best Buy. So the Safari crashes and stuff are real but why is it some have it and others don't?

iOS 7

I have an air and just picked up a retina mini. Both crash back to the home screen a few times a day and i dont use them that much. I cant even find the window i was in ..i have a 1st gen mini with ios 6 and never crashes. Prolly gonna sell the air before the air 2 comes out so i cud get more cash for it ... it really sucks cuz i searched the stores for a dmpl serial number and it has a bright cool white uniform screen...but the frequent crashes are a deal breaker

My experience has also been trouble free. It seems to depend on what sites you frequent and how many tabs are opened. But then, you and I and plants of others hardly or never have any trouble at all. What the heck is that all about?

They DO have to get safari more efficient though. That alone will help a lot since the weak link here is clearly safari.
