My wife and I went to Maui for ours... it was insanely fun.
It's all about Kauai. My favorite island. I'd be jealous too if I didn't have my own vacation trip planned. Whew!

Handy tip for Hawaiian visitors: Refer to the 48 U.S. states as the mainland, not as the United States!

Should we let Shard in on the secret?

The secret involving a good marriage, or a bad marriage? As Doctor Q said, I think I already know that one. :p :)

Yes, ~Shard~ it is very important to be best friends also. You know what each other is thinking. Just keep it interesting. Be sure to say I Love you often. Never be afraid to say I'm sorry. Do you each equally help out around the house?

Yes, actually we share the work equally - I wouldn't feel right any other way. Our relationship is pretty much all 50/50, just the way it should be. :) It was the same with the wedding as well - I organized a fair bit of it myself, since it was our day, not just her's.

Oh, and as a TMI for ya wdlove, there has never been and will never be a shortage of love expressed in our relationship. ;)

Jealous!

Where in Hawaii are you going? My wife and I went to Maui for ours... it was insanely fun. :) We did all the usual touristy stuff, but they were all well worth it.

We're hitting Maui and Kauai - should be great! We initially hesitated on Hawaii, since it's where lots of people go, it's touristy and commercialized in places, etc., and we're more adventure people who like taking the road less traveled, since we're backpackers and world travelers. But, we have heard nothing but good things about Hawaii, and my brother was just down there for a friend's wedding, and he is an even more hardcore backpacker than us, and he loved it as well! He said you can make it as touristy or not as yo like, so we're into that. :)

So, for the first 5 days, we're staying in a nice hotel in Kihei in Maui, then going to Kauai for 5 days, and then flying back to Maui, renting a car from the airport and probably just driving out East to Hana, finding some B&Bs along the way or whatever - completely playing it by ear.

So in the near future I'll have some wedding pics to post, and then in late November it'll be Hawaii pics!

Have you gotten the pictures yet???? or did I miss them???? (Most likely  )

No pictures yet - it'll take some time for our photographer to get them done up nicely. Don't worry, when I have them, you'll know - they'll either be here or in the MacRumors Pics thread. (Or a bit of both... ;))

As is good news. Definitely think that you will have a long and happy marriage as I have. It seems that you are well aware of the necessities already. Just keep up the good work.

Marriage is work...
But it can be one of the best decisions you make in your life.

I agree - like anything else, you have to be wiling to work at it to make it succeed, grow and thrive. However, the benefit of being in a truly good marriage is that many times you don't even realize you're doing it, and it doesn't seem like "work" whatsoever. ;)
