Thanks Apple, for another surprise! Glad I already spent my money. Your highest end products don't remain highest end very long, now do they? DURR:mad:

I have the same model as your. 2.8/4GB/250 7200

would you get an exchange if you could? mine is perfect. no dead pixels, etc.

Did you get all the specs that they promised when you bought it? Yes!

Now that newer models are out, have your specs changed? No!

You got what you paid for! What's the problem?

If I buy a 2009 Harley and they come out with something different in 2010, that doesn't give me reason to complain! You want the computing industry to stop advancing, just because you bought a computer?

Give me a break. It hasn't even been a month. If they had a bump in specs for the same price, there should have been some notice. Most people clearly would wait.

I'm talking about less than a month, not a year. Poor reasoning skills.

I know it sucks man, but come on.. everyone who buys something technology related has to know something else will be out on the market shortly thereafter. If you always waited for the latest and greatest you would never buy anything.

B-b-b-but it's just NOT FAIR...

I have an excellent idea.. Every time they update a model, Apple should replace everybody's outdated model with the new one!! :D

I bought a powermac quad core, right before they went intel. Now that was a big jump....but, you pay your money, you take your chances.

Been nearly 5 months since Apple unleashed the 15" Unibody MacBook Pro.

Though you don't mention if it is the 17" model, and I assume that's what you are talking about. Big deal - why are you so annoyed?

Do you have such bad craves for the latest and greatest?

No, I didn't purchase it 5 months ago, I purchased it less than a month ago, and if I would have received any indication of a bump in specs, I would have waited. Maybe it wouldn't be as big of a deal if it was a $500 computer, but when it's nearly $3,000, it changes the game.

Right..

The 15" MBP has been out for 5 months.

You bought yours less than a month ago, so that means you are entitled to a moan because your computer is actually 5 months old in terms of technology and demand that you get told by Apple they are planning a refresh?

Get a gripe lad.

So its too bad for you that you purchased it at that time.

Again, welcome to the computer industry.

No, I don't know that the 2.8 model was out 5 months ago, and the base MBP model has not changed at all as of this refresh. If there was any indication of a change, I would have waited, or saved $400 on my purchase.

As far as I know if you buy it within 30 days of a hardware bump they replace it for you. Take it to the store in the box and ask for another. Can't hurt to try. Or you could just bitch.

Think he's got that one covered already.

Maybe I should only make threads that other people will approve of, instead of having my own views and opinions independant of whether other people like it or not.

see the thing i learned about these mac forum sites is that most of the people who feel as though that they have a name for themselves or have posted alot tend to be rude. yall defend apple by being rude to someone who ask a simple question or just wants to vent about how they feel about a certin product or an error with there machines. yall always seem to have the "get over it" attitude. in this situation the man has a right to complane because he spent damn there 3 gs on a lappy that he thought was the highest end model for the size he wanted or needed but then apple turns around with no warning and creates a higher end model without any notification to the people purchasing that lappy within the last month. some come now stop trying to defend apple by telling this man to get over it because you and i both know that that is f@!# up. you would be mad too if went to buy something one day that you thought was the best available and the person selling it to you failed to mention that tommorow he will have something better for about the same price.

It's not that we don't approve, we just feel that you can't let go your sense of entitlement.

As Dennis Leary said, "Life sucks, wear a helmet."

At least someone gets it.

These pretentious tards can be as rude as they want, I can dish out plenty myself.
